Hi everyone,who among you here filed their AOS in Tampa fl. I sent mine November. How many months you waited for your gc? It seems like other field offices are faster. Thanks 

I picked Detroit on July 29 and it was horrible. From the stories I read here, it seemed to go really smooth and fast there but with a 2hr45mn layover - I barely caught my flight. I stood in line for about 1,5 - 2hr because there were just five CBP officers for the visa holders. Plus, the CBP officer I walked to didn't know how K1 worked which took even longer.

However, with 4hrs, you should be good.

If, you are staying with a single airline such as Delta, it is much easier to get around from CBP back up through a dedicated security point to your next flight. Sure Detroit to Tampa is longer than Atlanta to Tampa, but Atlanta always seems to have some delays which impact multiple flights. If you are changing airlines then I would choose Atlanta as the alternate airline terminal in Detroit requires an outside bus ride.

If my final destination was Tampa, Florida, I'd choose Atlanta POE because then your next flight will be much shorter than a flight from Detroit would be, since Atlanta is closer to Florida.

Yes you're right ? the time could be shorter. Just feeling anxious coz it's a huge airport. So I bet I have still enough good time, 4 hours and not losing my connecting flight. Thanks

I came through Detroit (DTW). Arrived at 5 PM and it was just one international flight at that hour so it went really smooth. I had to go to secondary, but it only took me 10 minutes there. From the moment I got out of the plane and the moment I left the airport it only passed 40 minutes, but this can vary. I would choose Detroit. I had my POE in Atlanta and it was fast. I had my package in my hand and was taken out of the huge line and over to another disk where they handled all that. Was fast and we were both K-1 and K-2

Just have it out and ready so they can see and when they see it they will take you out of the huge line.

Can't have a definitive answer. What if you start late from the place of origin ? some of the new immigrants gets processed faster than the others. 4 hours and 20 minutes seems enough provided everything goes smooth. Also, i have heard some of the major Airports have special kiosks for newly landing immigrants. Atlanta's is a huge one i am sure they will have a dedicated kiosks. Sorry for not being able to give you the answer you were looking for. what will be your final destination ?

My final destination is tampa florida, so I might choose Detroit. It's my first to fly to the US too so hoping everything goes smoothly.

My final draft is tampa,florida.. So we're deciding if we'll choose Detroit or Atlanta. And it's my first time to fly US so I think I'll choose Detroit as my poe

@Taylor93,thanks for helping me understand my situation. I just felt anxious why my status stays on Ready for interview, and it never get updated,feeling like they already forget about it or did not input my case on their visa system ?????They keep my passport and they didn't tell me if I habe something wrong with my documents. Hoping it will change soon.

@ducatiguysd thanks for your advise..yes i tried to check it on Ceac immigrant too, I'm just confused why It still shows READY(case ready for interview) even im already done with my interview,others say it should be Ready(case open). ????

@shauneg hoping mine would be like yours too ?? it's frustrating it doesn't change,I'm done with my interview but it keeps on showing, I wonder if no one open our case to update it.

The consul didn't say I'm approved, but he said everything seems fine.Welcome to United States, wait for your visa delivery.he didn't tell me I have something wrong with my documents, no emails from them too.But since July 28 until now,everytime I check my status on Ceac (immigrant) it shows Ready, case ready for interview but I'm already done with my interview. Had my interview July 28 at manila embassy with no issues. No additional documents were asked from me. No emails from them telling I need to submit documents.

-Until now my Ceac status never change its stuck on Ready(case ready for interview) but I'm done with my interview.

@GreenBaum, thank you sir for explaining to me about the Ceac. You are right sir, K1 is so confusing.i have been checking my (spam folder, inbox) for any emails from embassy that I might missed, but there was really no mail from them stating I have 221g,and on my interview, the consul didn't told me anything was wrong with my documents or if he needs additional documents from me. Until now I'm puzzled with my Ceac status, because it should say "Ready,case is open" under non immigrant.. But mine is stuck on Ready(case ready for interview) so that it means they never open my case since July 28???????

@MsCompe thank you for your advise.. I tried to track my passport on ustraveldocs and 2go but it showed there's no update available for the passport.? also on my Ceac status it doesn't show Issued. It's stuck on Ready, case ready for interview.but like what I've said, I'm done with my interview ????

It's been 9 days but my status on Ceac website under non immigrant shows "NO STATUS" under Ceac website (immigrant) it shows case READY for interview but I already had my interview. It was never updated. My cgifederal says before "your passport is still at the US embassy" but it changed to "document delivery information"
