  1. I'm not sure if someone else can call or not, but Knightsbridge ask for your case number when you call and they go through the documents you need to have before the medical to check you have everything. They asked for an email address too, they sent all the instructions to it with where to go, what to have etc. If you get someone to call make sure they have that info. Saying that when I called I could get an appointment for pretty much the next day if I wanted, so you could wait until you're back home if it's not too far away.

    Thank yoh!

  2. It's the calm before the storm so I can leave an update.

    Interview is after tomorrow, Tuesday!

I can't wait to be over with it, we're confident everything will be fine but I'm supper nervous about it anyway.

Happy that things moved pretty fast, we got the medical appointment a week after the we received package 3 and the interview is a little over a week after the medial.

Good luck!!! Let us know how it goes

  3. No problem! Did you get your number? If you've got any more questions I'd be happy to help :)

Yes I did thank you :) just need to complete the ds-160 or whatever it's called and then we can book!!

Hello all. Is it required that you bring/wear the engagement ring at the interview? I have pictures of it, but I don't want to travel with it if not necessary. Thank you for your response.

I believe I read somewhere that you don't need a ring

  4. 603-334-0700 is the number for NVC. :) I think you need the foreign fiance's name and date of birth, and the case number on your NOA1 when you call.

Nah you don't have to wait for packet 3, it's basically a sheet of paper with a link to the embassy site here:

    https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/

That link gives you a step by step of what to do and what order to do it in. It also has links to all the forms so you should be set with that!

If it won't let you book the interview just try again every day until it does. It just needs to be at Ready on the ceac website by the time you interview which it likely will be given the wait for one.

Thank you so much!!! That's a great help, I'm going to try and call them now since it'll be 2 weeks tomorrow since we got approved!

  5. Hi everyone,

I have my nao1 but nothing else yet. My fiancé and I have a son so I'm going to the states on Wednesday to introduce our baby to his grandparents. My fiancé is in the Air Force and will be working in Vegas for most of the time we're there while I will be in Georgia and Indiana with the baby.

I will have a letter from work saying I will return there from maternity leave a week after I land in the U.K. I am the chairperson of a charity so I have a letter from them too. I also have a car but the insurance runs out while I'm away. I have my phone bill too. I live with my grandparents so I don't have a tenancy agreement but can you think of anything else I can use to prove I will come home?

    Thanks in advance!

  6. Hi everyone,

I hope this thread is still active. I am English, engaged to an American and we have a 3 month old son. I'm still waiting for my NAO2 (it's been 2 and a half months). I'm thinking of taking my son to the states to see his daddy, nana and aunt. I know you can travel but I have a few issues.

First, I'm still on maternity leave (until December) so I can't get a letter from work. I am the chair person of a (mostly family-run) charity, so I can get a letter from them saying I need to return.

I live with my grandparents so the only bills I have is my phone bill, car insurance and tax but my car tax and insurance run out in October.

My son might have medical appointments so I can take those letters but can anyone think/or knows anything else I can take?

Also, last time I went I was pregnant (and had baby brain) so I overstayed my visa by one day.

My fiancé was deployed and missed most of my pregnancy, he's only seen our some for 2 weeks of his life. I am desperate for them to see each other again. Can anyone please offer advice?

  7. Thanks for the replies! My fiancé called the military line but they basically told us there's nothing they can do until September 27th. Unfortunately, being military and/or having a child don't seem to help the process at all.

We are 40 minutes from Lakenheath (it's where I met my fiancé) so I will get him to register our son with tricare and will take him there. Thank you for the tip!

Also, he just completed a deployment and we got engaged when he came back! How frustrating!

  8. Hi everyone,

My NAO1 date is April 27th and we still haven't heard anything. My fiancé is in the Air Force so we're used to spending time apart but this time it's harder and we now have a baby together. He's 3 months old and hasn't seen his daddy since he was 2 weeks old! I'm praying so hard we hear something soon!!

Our son needs some treatment soon on a shallow leg joint. I doubt that's enough reason to get us expedited but I'd really like to know whether we should begin treatment here in the U.K. Or wait until we get to the states. So frustrating! Congrats to everyone who has got their NAO2 and interview dates. Your excitement is infectious!

Used to spending time apart I mean
