We need some advice for a complicated problem. We had all our vaccinations done during the K-1 medical exam and received our DS-3025. We submitted the DS-3025 with our AOS application, completed our interview a few months ago, and just got an RFE to submit Form I-601, Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility. They areasking for evidence to waive the vaccination requirements based on religious beliefs or moral convictions. We looked at our DS-3025 which has all the vaccinations properly filled out, but it seems the doctor checked the wrong box, "Requesting Individual Waiver based on religious or moral convictions" instead of checking the "COMPLETE" box. Hence, triggering the RFE to submit evidence to waive the vaccinations. We did not refuse the vaccines and do not want to waive the requirements. This was error on the doctor's part. We have no way to contact the overseas doctor because they never pick up their phone.
What are our options?
I do not want to submit an I-601 because wedo not want to request a waiver.
We are thinking about getting an I-693 filled out by a civil surgeon and submitting that in response to the RFE. However, this is not what the RFE specifically asks for, so would it be an issue? I know USCIS can be pretty picky.
Please help us with this issue. Thanks in advance!
