    At odds

Yea, I should have just done them together, we just really wanted to make sure her mom at least gets a visa to aid her daughter with her first birth. I never thought they could revoke the moms visa the worst I thought was that the child just gets denied. Im not trying to play games just trying to do what's best for my wife. since she came to this country she has been lonely and home sick and since she was very close to her youngest sibling I thought it would be great for him to be here for a little while.

thanks for your help and advice guys. I still don't know exactly how im going to approach this but we have a few months to think it over.

What do you mean by “an immigration office”? The US embasssy/consulate? Or some kind of agent?

by the way does Jordan follow most other us embassies, allowing you to apply for under14s whose parent have a visa without an interview?

She went to the embassy and they directed her to an agent office that helps people fill our applications for the US embassy.

Yes according to the embassy website children under 14yr are not required an interview as long as one of the parents have a valid visa.

  3. My mother in law got approved for a B2 visa a few weeks ago. We also wanted her youngest child who is 12years to travel with her but was told by family/friends that we should have the mom file first and if she gets approved then to file for the child. So today she went to an immigration office in Jordan to ask and they told her the child might get the visa but there is also a chance of getting her visa revoked as well since she didn't apply for him at the time she applied for herself. So now we are worried if we will lose her visa but also we want to try and get him to come with her. She has 4 other daughters who are older and can take care of them selves. The father passed away years ago. do you think we should wait a month or two before applying for the child since her trip is not set till june?

Is this something that happens often with visa being revoke for applying for a family member ?

    Thank you

  4. Hello everyone. I filed an I-130 for my wife in JUNE 2015 at Texas service center. I received I-797c a few weeks later.

February of 2016 I requested a inquiry on why my case is taking longer then the 5 months office states online. I got a reply stating my case needed additional review and I would get an update within 60 days or so.

After no word from them, I did another request on why my case is taking longer then normal in April 2016. May 2016 I got a visit from the FBI they wanted to ask some questions about my wife and our relation ship. They were real nice and polite and told me that now he can return my application back to USCIS. July 2016 I got a request for evidence. I put together 25+pages of travel documents, passport stamps, hotel reservations, family photos, wedding and much more. In August 2016 I got a notice that they received my packet and I will get an update in 60 days. 64 days pass and I request another inquiry and today I received an email stating my case is still in review and I would receive a decision or notice of further action within 90 days.

So what im asking I guess is this normal ? Every time I call USCIS I get some guy who reads a script...

Is there anyone I can talk to other then the help line on the USCIS website? I have family who say to hire a lawyer but realistically what more can a lawyer do but drain my wallet?

Im just frustrated that the very first step hasn't been completed yet and im 6000 miles away from my wife.

    Thank you for any help

Also if this is in the wrong section I apologize and feel free to move it to the correct forum.

  5. Hello All, I been browsing these forums for months and have gotten lots of knowledge. Now im stuck in a pickle and need some advice please.

Last year I filed I-130 for my wife June/2015. This month I got I letter saying they need proof of bona fide marriage. Now since she lives in Jordan and I live in the U.S. we have no rental, property, bank accounts, etc.. in our name. but I have proof of wedding with lots of pictures, pictures of us at different family events and gatherings. I also have proof of a trip we took Venice Italy this year. would that be enough?

I also don't have any phone records because we use calling apps like viber/whatsapp.

So I plan of putting together a "evidence packet" should I state that we don't have any property, bank etc... together due to the fact we are thousands of miles away from each other. or should I just not mention it and just show the evidence I got?

    Thank you
