  1. Hi VJs,

I need help , my AOS was pending for years now got RFE to submit new Medical in person on December 16 in field office. My question is why in person submission and there is no fixed time on given date,  can I go before that date and how long it takes to get decision after it’s submitting it? I would really appreciate if someone  guides me or shares his/ her experiences. Thanks

    Hey Guys,

My wife just got her EAD card with AP permission after coming to the USA on a K-1 visa. She is from Algeria, which is part of MENA. I am scared that under this administration she will be denied re-entry. I am torn apart on what to do. She misses her family so much and I want her to travel to Algeria but I don't want to risk losing her and undergoing the immigration process again.

I need some input. My family is deathly afraid that she won't come back and it's really giving me and her second thoughts on her visiting her family back home.

Is my fear and concern completely blown out of proportion?

    What should we do?

    Thanks for all your help.

I have travelled on AP shouldn’t be any issue for her! Check expiry before leave the country.

What do you mean by "sent to local office?"
Do you mean your interview has been scheduled?

AOS typically only gets sent to Local office once local office has space to take ur case for the interview.

    If that's the case- congrats!
Ur interview is coming up soon. And since it's been more than 2 years since you got married, you will now get a 10-yr GC, not a 2-yr one

Actually I contacted congressman office before they used to tell background Pending but this time they said case is pending in nyc Field Office.

    Thank you so much! Hopefully!

I was reading somewhere in such cases they don’t even interview is it true ? It is so frustrating waiting that long but now at least case is moving.

  5. I have recently traveled on advanced parole to Canada. Upon my return into USA, the immigrantion officials took me to their office and took some fingerprints and let me in.I went to canada by air and came back via the rainbow bridge in Niagara Falls. The immigration officer attached a paper to my passport which states that it is valid for one year and that I will have to surrender the paper whenever I leave the USA and get another one on my return.I'm not sure if this is the process for just Canada or all counties. And why does its say single ise parole on it when I already have an advanced parole  with multiple entries permission . Does anyone have any information on this that can help me understand better. Please let me know

I think that's the purpose of the AP so you can travel while waiting for the GC. However, with the recent immigration environment and upcoming elections, I would suggest not to travel unless its emergency situation.

It’s been 3 years still waiting, I can ignore Canada visit but really wanted to see my mother she isn’t well, she had a stroke .. I really don’t know, I was thinking to visit family with my wife .. but can’t make decision.. can any one share recent experience ?
