  1. Hi,my stepdaughter will be interviewing in Manila she's 17 yrs old so what questions does the embassy ask of her thanks for sharing your thoughts

who is the petitioner? wedding date? address in us? how old when are you when the marriage took place? stuff like that dont worry they wont ask much for ir2 case. tip just bring all the required document like nbi, cenomar, nso, medical envelop, and ds260 confirmation is the most important part. just relax and be honest interview is just for formalitz no ones get denied if you just bring all the documents ask. :) good luck at your step daughters inteview

  2. just want to share my ir2 case in us embassy manila. me and my sister had our interview on aug 18 at 6:45 am fist we fall in line for our finger scanning. After that the next step is we talk to a filipino girl and ask personal questions like who is the petitioner?. what is your address in us stuff like that. the filipina girl will also get all the requirements like nbi, cenomar, nso, medical envelop. after that we fall in line again for oath taking then comes the final interview. our interview is with a very beautiful american girl its to funny because all the american consul are very fluent in tagalog and dont worry they will tell you if you want an interpriter. the questions ask from us is who is thd petitioner? when did they get married? our bday? our age? address in us?. just a few questions after that she tell us that we are approve. then we exit the use at 8:30. the tip is tell the truth. also the most important thing is your ds260 because that is the paper that you will show on every step. message me !

  3. They probably won't ask you many questions, assuming he married your mom before your 18th birthday and you have no previous overstays or criminal history etc. Some questions that may come up:

    - How did your mom meet your stepdad, when did they get married, when did she move to the USA?

    - Why didn't he petition you with your mom, why now?

    - Where in the USA will you live (both in term of city/ state and will you live with mom and step dad)?

    - Have you met your step dad in person? If yes, when and where? If no, why not, have you talked to him over Skype etc.

    - What do you plan on doing in the USA (study/ job etc)?

thank you so much for the information i feel less nervous. :)

  4. i would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone here in VJ. Thanks for helping me and answering all of my questions! I came prepared at my interview yesterday, Jan. 11, 2016 because of the help of you guys! :) thank you so much! i'm lucky enough too that the american consul only asked me like 4 super basic questions then he already approved me. :) than around 11pm yesterday (phil. time) I checked my ceac status and its already "ISSUED". I hope to receive my passport and visa packet soon! thank you guys so much! without the help of all of you all, it would be hard for me and my sister to prepare for our interview! Goodluck to all you who have their upcoming interviews! you guys can do it! and to all who's still waiting at NVC, you'll get there! BIG patience is the key! :)

*btw, I just noticed that they let us fall in line in every step instead of flashing our number in the cue board.. that's why it was easier and faster to finish.. it was first come first serve basis/first to finish the step first to get in line at the next step basis at the embassy yesterday.. i don't know if its already permanent or the cue board is just broken. anyways, it was faster. :))

I hope to be reunited with my mom after almost 8 long years!! i'm excited :))

did they ask for pictures? was the question all about your stepfathe? what are the exact files that you bring? help pls 14 days til interview
