  1. I don't think you can use the cellphone bills because the one you're on shows your Mom's name on it. You can send in other bills, even if they are addressed individually to you or your husband, as long as they are all sent to the same address...your home address.

If you feel that your financial proof are not very strong, perhaps you can ask your friends to prepare affidavits.

hi LJ! i was wondering if you can share with me how did you prepare the notarized letter from your parents about your housing situation. im thinking of doing the same thing ..my problem is, we are living w/ our parents in law & house is under their names. so probable i could ask them to sign an affidavit.. pls help!!!

  2. Hi everyone. Anybody pls enlighten me regarding this requirement found in I751 form:

Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two peoplewho have known both of you since your conditionalresidence was granted and have personal knowledge ofyour marriage and relationship. (Such persons may berequired to testify before an immigration officer as to theinformation contained in the affidavit.) The originalaffidavit must be submitted and also contain the followinginformation regarding the person making the affidavit:his or her full name and address; date and place of birth;relationship to you or your spouse, if any; and fullinformation and complete details explaining how theperson acquired his or her knowledge. Affidavits must be supported by other types of evidence listed above.

how to do this? pls help.

thanks a lot & good luck to your applications!

  3. i have been so hopeful since finding out that my case had been transfered to CSC. but today, i recieved an email notifying me that they are sending me a request for more evidence. now i am nervous!

my questions it this: for those who have had a RFE, what are the most common things they ask for? proof of marriage? financial stuff? what!?

any advice/experiences/comments would be VERY appreciated.

    thanks in advance!

Wondering about just that - got an email this morning that a RFE was mailed today. I am wondering what I missed or didn't understand or what they misplaced.

hi..i got an RFE before..it was my husband's federal income tax that i overlooked to include in the package. also they asked us again my husband's employment cert though we already submitted it before. just to complete everything, we also included in the RFE's my husband's pay stub. after a month, our case was transferred to CSC & got approved w/out interview. don't get too nervious..just make sure that you send completely what they asked you. good luck!

  4. We were approved!

Some notes from our experience. We arrived 90 minutes before the interview. Were not allowed into the building until 30 minutes before the interview. Cellphones were allowed but had to be turned off. The room was completely full of couples but we were called back promptly at 1pm. This surprised me! :hehe: On a side note the lady who performed our ultrasound was waiting with her husband for his Green Card. She recognized us and we had a nice chat to pass the time. It really is a small world. Our U.S.C.I.S. agent was friendly and smiled a lot. Asked a few questions such as date we were married (my wife completely goofed this up by the way). Then asked our mailing address and that was pretty much it. She checked through all the paperwork I had submitted from the K-1 through the I-485 and asked if I had anything to add. I gave her some accounts with both of our names including bank accounts and medical records. Then made sure she looked at our pictures including the ultrasound pics. All in all about 43 minutes but most of it was pleasant chit chat. On a lighter note when we sat down I laid our I.D.s on her desk and passports with birth certificates. She joked and asked if I had done this before as I seemed like a pro. I then replied I was over prepared in that I had 6 years of Tax returns.

  5. hi everyone!! just checked our mailbox...there i saw 2 mails from USCIS. yeheey! i received my welcome notice & green card at the same time without errors  im so relief!

but forgive me to ask this dumb question.. my greencard's valid from 12jul06-12jul08. when should i apply to lift the conditions? should it be apr12 or may12? sorry for my ignorance. thanks in advance. ;)

  6. You will need to submit the I-864 form, which can be found on the USCIS website. This will answer their question for the RFE. In the I-864 you will need to submit a copy of your Federal tax file with the W2s, your current employment info(I submitted 1 month of Paystubs)and the form indicating that your income is over the 125% poverty line for your total household size. I hope this explains what you need :)

hi. i received an exact RFE as yours. i submitted the federal income tax ( i forgot to include in my I485 kit), employment cert (i dont know why they asked it again since i included it in my kit) & pay stubs. and everything went on smoothly w/ my application. good luck!

  7. In all likelihood you will be approved without an interview. You can take a look at my timeline, we also were transferred to CSC. Keep in mind though that there are those who approved almost immediately after transfer, and others that wait months and months. Hopefully you'll be in the first boat! Congrats on the transfer, it really does take alot of the pressure off knowing that you don't have to go through the interview.

hi..u can also check my timeline. congrats on the transfer, im sure you'll be approved without interview :D

  8. my internet was disconnected for 2 days, & after checking my email today...i got this!!! WOOHAAAA!

  9. Unfortunately, it looks like your RFE delayed your EAD application. The good news is that you have been transferred to CSC and most cases see approval within 30 days. That means you could have your green card very soon making your EAD obsolete.

    Good luck!

thanks vamsi. that's very encouraging. its ok if they wont process my EAD yet so long as they will work out my AOS soon..im very anxious to work. i'll just crossed my fingers. ;)

hi vamsi..sorry to bother.. when can i schedule for infopass if ever for interim EAD? thanks again.

  11. I have no advice for you...just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. See my timeline, we're in almost the exact same situation as you. Only we haven't gotten transferred to California. If my husband doesn't get his EAD soon, I don't know what we're going to do financially. :(

    [/qu

jelti...at least they touched your EAD more than once. it's still better than nothing...like my case :(

  12. i hope someone can enlighten me. they received my I765 on may5 2006. I got RFE for my husband's federal income tax on 26may06, it also says that i am ineligible for interim employment authorization within 90 days after the missing initial evidence is recieved. i submitted the addnt evidence on 01jun06, then got a notice on 28jun06 that my AOS case was transferred to CSC. but what about my EAD? how come i never heard any updates? what if my AOS application will take longer? there's a job offered to me but couldnt accept becoz of lack of docs :(

  13. Here's what ours looked like....

06/16/06 -- AOS transferred to California

    06/19/06 -- "Touched"

06/21/06 -- Case Received in California

    06/23/06 -- "Touched"

    06/26/06 -- "Touched"

    06/27/06 -- "Touched"

    06/28/06 -- AOS "touched"....AGAIN....

    07/11/06 -- APPROVED!!!

    07/12/06 -- Touched

    07/14/06 -- Touched

    07/15/06 -- Touched & Welcome Letter Received

    07/17/06 -- Green Card Received

I was touched yet again. Minfay, mine looks very similar, except mine has only been in Cali for about 10 days. Being the eternal pessimist with this process, I can only hope its not an RFE.

wow...looks like ur case worked really fast! congrats..i can see in ur signature that u rcvd welcome letter already! i hope they will touch my case again for approval...its still the same :(
