Hello, I am headed to the SS office and on a timeline I noticed there was a spot that says EAD for employment authorization document?

Where do I find this document? Does this get submitted to the SS office or is it a totally separate entity?

Hello! I am reaching out for help as I am not entirely sure what the correct timeline is as someone told me something differently yesterday. My fiancé arrives today from england (Y A Y!) and I am fully aware that from today we have 90 days to get married. Now, I know we have to file for a SSN #, EAD (optional), AOS. Someone mentioned to me on a Facebook group that its best to file for a SSN # & he EAD before the marriage? Is that even possible?

Can someone give me a clear timeline in order. I am so confused. Many many thanks

Just wanted to post my answer - My fiancé ended up coming over and never had a problem. He only arrived on the ESTA.

Hello - My fiance and I have just been accepted and issued the K1 fiance visa. My fiance lives in London and was told he needs to move to the US by Jan 18th and he will meet the deadline and move right after xmas. Next week, he was planning on coming to the US for a one week visit just to tie loose ends on this end. Will this be a problem? Can he use his ESTA in the meantime and then move over officially in Jan on his K1? Thanks

Hello - Just double, triple, quadruple checking over everything before my fiance goes for his interview next week at the UK US embassy. I got a letter from my employer, I have a letter from my bank providing my statements, a few paycheck stubs, and this years tax return form. Is this current year form enough? I read in a group that I should send multiple? Is this something i should be doing... Thanks

Why can'the just reschedule the interview for after the vacation?

Unfort cant because my process needs to be completed by my assigned date of sept 8th. the earliest interview is aug 31.

Thanks for the fast response. My fiance Lewis lives in England and I am traveling from the states to England & then we are both going on holiday together from Spain to England for a summer holiday. We obviously didn't realize the passport fiasco. Hoping it comes in time - how gutting. I will make sure Lewis brings our receipts and flight info - I have read somewhere that someone was in this same situation and got to take the passport back the same day (didnt happen in london) - and someone else where they were able to pick up their passport a few days later at the embassy. So frazzled

Helllo - I have run into a situation. My fiance has his k1 interview at the earliest available date in England on August 31st and the interview needs to be completed by Sept. 8th. The problem is that we have a holiday booked to Spain on September 10th and I have heard that you don't get your passport back for 10-15 business days. I was told that some people in this group were in this situation and they were able to come back a few days after and pick up the passport. Desperately looking for answers.
