Shall I make a mail to consulate customer service to know my status. Because it was already 40 days completed till now. And my reporting date is coming near.

Hello sir. . . My f1 visa was refused under section 221g. They have taken all my documents and returned passport after interview. Til today , it's 39 days completed. Till now I haven't got any reply from embassy. When I check the status at ceac.gov.in it says as " case creation date is 17 th June and date updated as 20th June" bt actual interview was done 20th of June. Main status is as refused , what does this mean . Please kindly help, and pull me out from this confusion

They jus ticked the check box which was written as " required additional administrative process" .
