Hi all!
I wanted to start a discussion (a recent one) for anyone who is the beneficiary living in Australia, trying to prepare documents and checks before their interview. We just received our NOA2 today and I am trying to sort out the police check. I live in NSW and have been researching whether I get a federal or state, fingerprint or non-fingerprint and there are so many conflicting articles. Help there would be appreciated.
We now have to wait to have the NVC receive our case, then our case number, then for the SYD consulate to receive the case. What can I get done in the meantime? My USC fiance will be here next week with me and will be preparing the rest of the documentation, including TAX I-134 Form's and ongoing relationship evidence.
But how do I go about my police check?
Also, are you GIVEN an interview date or do you have to schedule one? I have also heard different stories with this one.
Any help is so appreciated! We want no additional delay, hoping to be there plenty before Christmas :-)

WE'RE APPROVED! David called me while I was taking a nap and I am bawling my eyes out!
NOA1: July 25th
NOA2: September 6thCountry: Australia
Praying for you all, those who haven't yet been approved.

And please remember, they are only 20% of the way through the July applications, so there are still about 80% of us who still have not been approved. Don't stress, June is almost completely approved, so it's our month either way. Next week is a new week and September 30 is the end of the Fiscal year, so chances are we will all be approved by then :-) I am keeping you all in my prayers (and myself!)
In the meantime, do some wedding planning, get excited, distract yourself, start selling belongings, read some books, listen to some podcasts, go out with some friends, keep busy and occupied! I have tried planning some wedding things while I am not with my USC fiance and it makes all the time go faster. We're wedding photographers too, so my job is to photograph people in love on their wedding day (www.indwellweddings.com) and that definitely hurts me some days, but for the most part, I am just excited that eventually, that will be us! And you too! You just need to wait for your time :-)

That's a GREAT comedy now. July 08 through july 27 are approved for less than 40 days. And we, july 1st till july 5th, we are waiting waiting waiting over 60 days now.
it is a non sense. It means nobody has been found to work on our case yet. So people after us wait less. Whatever explanation one can give me. I can't take it. It is a non sense.
Don't feel left out. We're July 25th and aren't approved. It's not about being in order, it's truly just a random approval. We're still patiently waiting, as any approval before October will be way beyond what we could ever hope and pray for. Just keep positive, keep yourself busy and it will be quicker than you realise :-)

I just got my text. NOA1 7/27. NOA2 approved 9/1. Thanks all for the support.
Wow, congrats, so quick!

People in May are still only JUST being approved, same as June! UGH WHY IS THIS PROCESS SO TEDIOUS

Starting a forum for anyone who has filed in September or who is waiting for their NOA2 still! Hopefully we can be the last "backlog" of visa's and they will fasten the process a little bit more!
Welcome to everyone :-)

Hi everyone it's my first time posting here, I also filed in July. I happened to be sick tonight because of my wisdom teeth removal on Monday so that's the reason why I couldn't sleep tonight. I had been looking around on this forum for a while now, hoping for k1 visa processing time changes. Guess what? Today was my lucky day because I just checked and my case got approved! Yay!
My fiance is the one who filed the petition but he never looked on forums or checked case status. He's already asleep so he will hear the good news when he wakes up. Congratulations to all who got approved tonight and good luck for the ones still waiting on approvals.
Noa1 July 20
Noa2 August 30
Congratulations!! How exciting :-D
This is also good news for the rest of us who filed later in the month, this is one of the first NOA2 past the 19th of July as far as I'm aware so we're making progress!

My USCIS account stopped working for a bit there, I think I was checking too much hahaha.

Following this post! Thank you for the info - We're waiting for our NOA2, is it too early to get the police check and medical exam done? Especially if it's going to take 30 days?

I wouldnt be too worried, by the looks of it, July processing hasn't really passed July 20th so anyone (like us) with the NOA1 date after the 20th who hasn't yet been approved, I wouldn't worry too much. It will come :-) Again, its just a matter of how they separate the files.
Who knows, maybe they left the first 7 dates (1st-9th) on someones desk who is a little slower, then (10th-19th) the next on someone elses desk who is very fast, and the rest (20-30th) on someone elses desk who still has June to finish! It's coming soon, either way!!

Ahh well good luck everyone this week!
I have a feeling we will get A LOT of approvals this week (maybe us too!)! And then after all my final jobs in Australia (ironically my fiance and I are both wedding photographers), I will be able to move and get married! Fingers crossed!

Those of you (especially from Australia) who just received your NOA2, did you see your case being updated before you got your NOA2 or was it kind of out of nowhere! Our NOA1 was July 25th and so we are HOPING this week might be the week for us, especially since it seems Australian cases are being approved so quick!

Our Receive Date on our NOA1 was for July 25th and sent it on July 20th so we're crossing our fingers, since they are beginning to process July applications now!

Hi! I have my N400 interview tomorrow based on my 3 years as a resident through marriage, does my husband have to come to the interview since I applied through marriage? The notification I received doesn't quite specify but it seems like I can go alone (he has to work)! Also, should I expect my oath to also happen same day? Office is San Bernardino CA.
