  1. Well today I received a mail from the Embassy, they said they sent us a call in letter on December 7th which we didn't receive. They say I should come with a copy of the email and a picture ID tomorrow. I guess I'm going for the packets. I'm surprised others received simple letters of instructions whiles others receive call in letters for packets.

So I emailed the embassy again on Thursday asking for clear instructions about the process. I asked if we should wait for a Call in letter or and Instruction letter. I also CC'ed the American Citizens email and I received a response this morning and it says the following:

"Please note, the K-1 Visa process has recently changed. Applicants may now schedule their own interviews by visiting, www.USTravelDocs.gov.

    Thank you

    Consular Section

    U.S. Embassy – Accra, Ghana"

Not the clear list of instructions I was hoping they would send but this is a bit reassuring to me. I really do believe that our letters got lost somewhere when they were transitioning.

I 'checked on their website and they said when your case is ready for interview they will email or call the petitioner. The state that do not pay the visa application fee until you have heard from the concerning the status of your case. Did you state in your mail that you wanted to enquire about the status of your case? If you had you would have know if the have sent you that mail or not.

  4. It is so frustrating, the other thing is that some cases with recent approvals have received their letters and scheduled their interviews. I dnt understand how it works. The first time we emailed them the response was that, our case has been received from the NVC but it is yet to me entered into their system. That was 7th December and since then nothing else. A number of people are in this situation and have scheduled their interview successfully so I guess I will do that. We pray it works out for us all.

  5. I believe there a few of us here whose CEAC status shows Ready for interview yet no call in letter for packet 3 or 4. I have been waiting for a call in letter for over two months now.  I received my NOA 2 on September 22nd. Is it advisable to fill DS-160, pay visa application fee and schedule your interview? Will the embassy be ready for your interview?  I tried paying the visa application fee at GT bank but the lady said I should be authorized by the embassy to pay first before I pay because others were turned away by the embassy because the receipts were not recognized. Has any member of VJ gone through the K1 process without receiving packet 3 and 4 ? Pls share how you went through successfully.

I wanna say a very big thank you Mr. Emmanuel Opoku for your time and support.

I was really frustrated for not receiving my parkage from the embassy (Ghana) and was worried about how I could schedule my interview date before I met my brother from another mother (Mr. Emmanuel Opoku ) who spent  most of his time with me showing how I can schedule my interview online.

Now am able to schedule my interview date online and I feel so release now.

    Am forever grateful bro.

Hello bro, I know you didn't receive the package from the Embassy so how did you do it? I'm in the same situation, coach me how to go about it. Thanks.

Has anyone here heard from the embassy yet or received a letter?

My fiancé took the steps to schedule online but unfortunately there are no appointments available online right now.

I havnt heard from them yet and I'm still waiting, I hear it's advisable to hear from them before you start doing anything. They send you the call in letter when they think your case is ready for an interview. I'm highly frustrated.
