  1. Sorry to hear that, I hope you are ok now..take care more,,,,

Good for you at least you have an update, a weeks ago when you send an email to embassy you got an update with respond but now that I send them an email about inquiry there is no answer nor an update.....

is it possible when you near to be cleared this happen? or its nonsense? one of my fellow citizen wrote for Embassy and they did not answer or update his case he send 2 more after the first one and after the third email the embassy wrote to him to drop his passport.

Congrats sis... have a great life in USA together

I'm not really sure, but as I always say and follow our bro Ahmed in what he's saying, this whole CEAS updates and dates changes or anything about OR seem very irrelevant, we will never be able to know whats happening. Cases are différent, AP is a nightmare and all we can do is wait. I have enough of tracking CEAS everyday, sending emails and calling NVC, it's all the same. I do get updates and they mean nothing, I had times where I get 2 updates in a row in 1 week, and sometimes 2 month interval between updates, by update I mean date change. Emailing the consulate gets me the same copy past email since 3 months now and calling NVC gets me the same info ( passport was dropped in July under consulate request. Once they have new info they will contact you ) I have been getting this 4 times a month since I call once a week. We have to wait that's al ?
  2. Good Evening Everyone,

I want to know, If anyone had a missed call from US Embassy Abu Dhabi After Interview ?

They called me in the morning and i was sleeping ? My case is in AP after Interview. they gave white slip to check the site, but a week they called on my number from embassy, which was missed ? Do you think it was for additional document or something else ?

    Hi and welcome.

Same happened to me while I was under AP (F1 visa) 9 years ago. They are going to call you again next day, or send you an email the next day (check spam).

PS: This is my case, consulate of Casablanca. Maybe Abu Dhabi is different. Abu Dhabi staff are nicer, traveled with them a lot while I was working at Etihad.

  3. Contacted NVC today ( second time, second week ). They said the case is still under AP and last update posted to them from the consulate was July 20th ( CEAS shows Sep 6th last date change ).

I also asked the lady from NVC if DV cases have any effect over K1 and IR-CR cases and she said No. she also said that sometimes AP can happen twice, means u are cleared but CO decides to run it again for reassurance. I also asked her if the case was sent back, she said that NVC will know if it's sent back and they will inform the individual once he/she calls NVC.

Congratulations guys on the good news! Pray for us ?.

  4. Any news guys?

Nothing brother. We should have a date change this week, otherwise it's insane. You and I passed 6 months, and it's crazy how we don't have any frequent date changes, even the medical was not requested. We should at least have the "ready" appearing and disappearing once.

I will call NVC tomorrow again and inquire. I'm frustrated.

  5. lol I could tell. U re very welcome.

We got hold of them finally. The representative (male) said that I dropped my passport the 20of July at the consulate request and my case still requires AP, he said consulate will contact once they have new information.

I want to point out that I dropped my passport the 20th of July after I came back from a business trip to Italy. It wasn't exactly a request from the consulate, but when I picked up the passport when I was traveling, the CO said I need to drop it back once I come back to the country.

PS: NVC inquiry did not trigger a date change.

@Ahmed, brother you should call them too.

  6. i had three updates within 7days. My first update after interview was March 4, second update was June 28 third update June 31, fourth undate July 1st. I got concerned decided to contact NVC. July 7 rep I spoke with told me that ur husband AP is clear Embassy need hubby passport. Have they contacted u or hubby ? I said NO. She advice to contact embassy. I make another call again July 8 to confirmed. Another rep again said hubby AP is clear contact embassy to drop off passport. Happiness begins!? Emailed embassy July 8, for updates on hubby case. This time around, I did not get the regular case is under AP message that I Normally used to received . This give me more hope! Embassy did not reply until July 22. July 22 was when the embassy finally confirmed hubby AP is clear. He should be at the embassy July 29 with a new medical. Hurrible! Why u waited in the dying mins to tell me about new medical.

The consulates are always mysterious haha.

We tried to search for NVC number to call them but we only found contact info that is only used to provide email address once NVC sends the case to the relevant consulate. What number did you call to inquire about the AP? We couldn't seem to find any contact info to check visa case or AP process with the NVC.

  7. sorry third interview is sep. 26

Thank you for the details! It's great at least there is movement in the case. I'm glad things are working out for you and hubby just stay positive and follow what they want and never be negative. I don't know exactly what to say regarding the police clearance, but I would highly suggest to take it to them, if they ask for it then you have it ready, if they don't then don't give it. They usually request things specifically before appointments or during the interview.

I would like to ask if you don't mind how did you contact NVC to confirm the status of AP. I would like to contact them aswell. I want to know the stage of my AP since I keep getting those date changes on CEAS but no official email or call from the consulate about new medical or any document request or new interview. If you don't mind to share how did you contact them so I can go ahead and do the same.

    Thank you very much.

  8. sorry about the eid mubarak guys

ahmed sata davy bookman and every1 on AP u will get ur visas soon insha allah have faith in allah

my sis and bro are still on ap too

    :) salaam

Thank you very much brother and hopefully your brother and sister get issued soon. We are waiting, fingers crossed.

thanks kamal, no worries hubby's has appointment on the 26 next week Monday to drop off new medical n passport. Fingers crossed.

That's great! Hopefully an issue inshlaah! New medical and passport drop is a good sign! My medical expired yesterday and I hope they will request new one, my passport is with them since interview.
  9. That brochure is not meant for females. Domestic violence is very high in both women and men in this country. It is not uncommon either for a citizen to bring a foreign loved one here and abuse them.

We will all be with our loved ones. It's just a matter of time....which sux ? But they will be here soon! Keep the faith and know God is with us all!

You are right. We hope this nightmare will end soon.

Casablanca has a lot of AP cases, which is why they keep putting new cases under AP, it is mainly due to visa numbers shortage. Let's not forget DV and Family based immigration, add to them NIV cases. It's a mess. They have priority to some categories which gets issued first, then remaining visa numbers are distributed based on AP priorities. Visa quota will come out in October, most AP people in this forum are waiting for October, you will notice lot of date changes on CEAS.

Some friends of mine and I in another thread are almost 6-7 months under AP (K, CR, F2A), we have noticed some updates on CEAS this first week of September before Eid Adha.

My personal advice from experience to anybody under AP, don't waste time on emails, calls and even senator, it does not work at all. Just wait, keep your self busy and keep watching CEAS daily.

  10. They give me back my passport and said that they will call me

He handed me the relationship proof of my fiancée that she submitted too.

They kept everything, literally. I only got the brochure which is mostly meant for females.

It should be quick for you, they kept my passport because they want me to remain in the country, that's what our lawyer said. I resided in 4 different countries and my passport is almost full, so they should do their lil investigations. I remember when the CO was asking me about every single entry/exit stamp on my passport, it was interesting.

We contacted them a week ago and they said my case still requires AP and they will call once it's done.

Anybody please got the passport tracking/pick up website to work? I follow the instructions but I don't find the K1 category in their.

  11. Hi guys,

I had my interview on 9 September 2016.everything was good and i answered all the questions the consular officer asked,my interview was very quick though. when we are done he told me that he will put my case into administrative processing and he will call me later. He didn't ask for anything else. The status now is in AP.

We would really appreciate any help with info concerning the issue especially from those who had been through the same situation.

Thank you very much and good luck to everyone.

Same over here, everything went well and I was put in AP.

Did they keep your passport? Because they kept mine.

Did they hand you out the brochure about your immigration rights?

I am 6 month in AP now haha it's funny. My medical expired yesterday.

I am surprised that the CO has changed, mine was an African American lady. Now it's scary how a CO will be replaced and some people are under AP with previous CO.

    Good luck!

  12. From what I understand, they changed their process recently. If they need any extra docs or anything else, they ask applicants to dropp their passports off at the aramex location with what's needed.

Not really sure what's going on with Casablanca

I was also requested to drop some documents but at the consulate not aramex. CASABLANCA is being weird lately I don't understand why. The 9th of this month they put everybody in AP that day, it was a creepy thing.

how long you have been in Ap ?

6 months. Passport was kept there.

  13. I get it you worked in 4 different countries, any one of them is Libya? Because if it was you would definitely understand what I'm talking about. Libya is being bombed now and nobody can even cross the border, second my husband lived right next to the border so he didn't need any passport stamps for residents and the third my husband never committed any crime any where and was never arrested.

Yes I definitely understand. Your lawyer should handle this matter, and I wish you both the best of luck!

  14. Thanks a lot for this information, but you see my husband was never Libyan resident or citizen, so he did worked in Libya for 4 years but was coming home and crossing the border every 2 months go those 4 years. Therefore he went to Libyan embossy and they told him that they only give that document to residents and citizens and I managed to call Tripoli police headquarters in Libya... They told me same think. Now our attorney called NVC and USCIS and told them what happened so they were shocked because the embassy in Tunis is just a office that needs to obey the laws and rules of the United States! And unfortunately they violating the law!!! And il do anything to make sure that person will be punished!

What you just explained right now is clearly self explanatory if you think. I know somebody is crossing the law at this point, but the person who requested the document is clearly trying to get your husband in some trouble. If your husband has been working in a foreign country for 4 years without a proper work visa ( in most Arab countries a work visa is a residence ) and he has no track record of employment, therefor it is seen as a clear breach to international legislations. I know it's possible to cross borders and work under a tourist visa or none and keep crossing the same border to remain legal in some sense, but some consular officials take this matter very seriously as 4 years of untraced employment is a big deal for them.

Unfortunately they don't see your husband a loyal employee but rather than a threat to the country and you have to do everything possible to either bypass the consular request or provide evidence of clean record in Libiya.

I personally resided in 4 different countries, I work as an engineer, and I am under administrative processing since 6 months. I have a clean record, PR and CR provided, my passport was kept at the consulate and I have already lived with my love for almost a year in the US. This should give you an idea on how they treat people. Every case is different, and every case is subject to high level of discretion, our future is in their hands basically.
