Hopefully others will weigh in but I don't think that applies to you. You are a US citizen by parentage, and those certificates are for those who obtain citizenship and not have it automatically by parentage/birth.

Yeah, that's the impression I'm getting looking over this again. :) Just wanted to make sure just in case. But as you said, anyone else wants to weigh in, please do. :)

  2. I'm filling out form i-129 K-1 visa application, and I have a quick question about Question 13.d which says "Have you obtained a Certificate of Naturalization or a Certificate of Citizenship in your name?".

Where does the Birth Abroad Certificate fall into that? Because the next question asks for the Certificate number, which a birth abroad certificate doesn't have one to my knowledge. At the moment, I checked "No" to that question as I feel Birth Abroad is different from those two listed certificates in question 13.d

Note: I do have my original birth certificate from England, my original Birth Abroad certificate, and Form FS-240 that my parents filled out to claim my birth abroad (my dad was US Military). So I have everything necessary to prove my US citizenship through my parents, it's just that one question that has me confused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

  3. Me and my fiance are working hard on the I-129 application and hope to have it done soon, so I just want to make sure that I send the package to the right spot. I will need to send it to USCIS in Dallas TX? P.O. Box 660151 Dallas, TX 75266 - to be precise.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, last thing we want to is to send it to the wrong address, so I just want to verify. :)

  4. I'm creating a checklist of things I need for the K-1 Visa application and one of the things I'm not sure of is what documents need to be (or at least recommended to be) notarized?

What about documents my fiancee will need when she goes for the interview in HCMC (I will fly out there to be there as well)? Anything we should be aware of and prepare for?

Anybody who has experience in this, I would love to hear from you on what you did. :)

  5. Yeah I had a feeling 3000+ pages would be excessive, not to mention a waste of paper/money.

Should I submit recent chat logs, or samples of when we first met? A mixture of both? And yes I do plan on doing a timeline (maybe chat logs correlating to the timeline?), in addition to all the other forms of evidence (photos, receipts, my travel Visa to Vietnam, bank statements, plane ticket, call and text logs and more... @_@ )

Thanks for everyone's help so far. :)

  6. Me and my fiancée are assembling everything we can muster to apply for a K-1 Fiancee Visa. We chat daily on Facebook and printing out the entire chat history is well over 3000 pages! It's both blessing and a curse. I'm going to print double-sided to cut down on the bulkiness, but should I print out the entire thing for the initial i-129f application? Or would that be too much to send? Should I print out excerpts instead? Or should I print it out only for the interview at the consulate in HCMC? ...print in full for both?? @_@

How did you all handle this? Any tips and advice would be helpful. :)
