I have a question. It seems like it can take a while before our green cards are sent to us atter we enter US. So, is it possible for us to go back to our countries and come back to US again for preparation for moving etc. during that time while we wait for the green card?

Hi I'm new here. I'm on EB2 visa from the Philippines. My case got completed at NVC last June13 and my priority date is feb2016. I heard about the retrogression. Will it really affect on when will I have my schedule of my interview at the embassy?

I believe your case will not be "touched" or will be on hold until you are current (October?) again.

Good question. I believe they do not schedule unless your PD is current. I am not sure though.

and how do we know if Pd is current?? i just received an email saying the applicant is now in queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas.

What is the difference between filing date and final action date? For consular processing filing date is still current. Are you sure for a case complete an interview will not be scheduled during August and September for October?

why is the embassy in Turkey so slow in asigning interview dates compared to others? any ideas?

I just got a checklist for a police certificate from a country where I resided less than 1 year. In the travel.state.gov website it clearly states that I need a police certificate from a country where I am not residing currently only if I stayed there for more than 12 months (6 months if I am currently living there). What do you guys think ı should do? Obtaining an unnecessary police certifcate will delay me for at least 2 more months.

I mean 06/16 and 06/17 of course, sorry.
