Any interview experience in Cincinnati, OH?
-
Question though:
Why did you provide passport photos of BOTH you and your husband? Also, why did you provide G-325A for both of you? Also, your husband's birth certificate?? I don't recall reading requirements for those in the instructions.
Good question. There's no need to provide G325A for the USC or photos of the USC unless you're submitting a I-130 along with the petition (which as a K-1 you should be unless you didn't get married in the 90 day deadline).
That is what the lawyer has sent with my application....and i didnt have any problem,no rfe...

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your help with all of the questions I've asked. I love being a part of a community where everyone understands what my husband and I are going through!
I think I am almost ready to send off my AOS packet ( I am not applying for EAD or AP...taking my chances!). I have copied my cover letter below- can you let me know if I'm missing anything or if I've done anything incorrectly? THANK YOU SO MUCH

Ok we have our interview in Seattle(Tukwila really) and what I would like to know is will they ask for stuff like airline ticket stubs, hotel reservations etc?also has anyone who is a bit older like in there 40s/50s gone for the interview just wondered if it is any different for older couples as opposed to younger ones,we have plenty of evidence of course but I was thinking that they might not be as severe with us because of our age,but am prepared for the worst.
Good Luck!

Hi,
A few days ago i recived a letter from the Marines telling me that i am being activated to active duty. I am currently Inactive Reserve (IR) did my service and got out. well, I am the sole provider of my family (wife) and seeing she isn't able to work (AOS)etc..... and i'm a contractor. As a contrator when things like this happen you lose your job because you're a contractor (you don't work directly for the company) they can legily get rid of you when you leave. They don't fall under that law that protects your job until you come back. What can i do to get out of this is there any immigration law that may help?
i'm a former Marine and i think you can get out of being recalled but you will have to prove all of what you said and you may have to report then get released. call the contact on the recall and ask them. or maybe you can get them to let you stay in the states while being on active dutyif this may help. i had a friend who got recalled and he stayed in the states and got promoted while on a year of active duty.
Good luck Semper FI.

We just had our interview today at 9:00am in Cincinnati. The immigration officer was a nice, professional and polite lady named Amanda. The interview was pretty fast, only 15 mins. She asked me my name and birth date,my parents names, and where and when we met and how many times, then she asked my husband his name and birth date. Then she asked us about the proof and then looked at my husbands pay stubs, she didnt ask me about the letters or pictures, just fliped through the income tax return we filed together from 2006,medical and life insurance, credit cards and joined bank accounts. She looked at my background check and it was done. She said we are aproved and ordered the green card.It should take about 2 weeks.

God bless you! Callina & hubby

Not yet, (hopefully soon!) but I do have a lot of experience with going to the interview building as I live only a few short minutes from downtown.
One tip I can give you is to park in one of the public garages around the federal building near fountain square, tower place mall, etc. There are several places to park that are only $1 for the first half-hour and even if you have to stay a few hours, you'll only have to pay a few dollars. The parking lots around the city will charge you anywhere from $8 and up to park, regardless of how long you stay. If you have any questions about directions or anything, PM me and I'll be glad to help you out.
Good luck! And do me a favor, when you get done, write a review on that "local office review" page. Thanks!
Thanks for the information and i will let you know how it went!
