I sent USCIS a message, though I will keep trying.

Post Naturalization interview, trying to upload requested documents but they are always "uploading".  Ive tried on a VPN, off of a VPN and I am using internet explorer.

Anyone else having issues?

Just a couple questions on the I-693 medical exam.

Should the Civil Surgeon perform a gynecological exam in the assessment?

Should blood be taken during this exam?

Im just looking for a basic "things to expect" type of list.

My wife had her exam today and we are left with an uncomfortable feeling, but are looking to understand the process of this exam a little better.

As always you all are the most helpful and fantastic people, and have been such a wonderful blessing.

First a little update,..

Finally received confirmation that our package was received and the checks were cashed! Now begins the waiting game.

My Question,... at what point in the process would my wife be able to apply for a drivers license? The Mass RMV website requests a denial letter from the SSA. Should we apply for a SSN to receive the denial letter or is there some other number, point in the process, or something that we should do in order to work on a drivers license?

My package was delivered by USPS to the Chicago lockbox on October 14th and I have not received any electronic communication that they have received my package.

The USCIS website recommends calling after 30 days.

Am I being impatient?

Hello everyone!

I am filing my I-130 and I-485 concurrently, and as a part of the checklist it mentions the I-693 Medical exam form.

While filling out the form, there is much that needs to be filled out by the doctor. Do I need to have a medical exam and have the doctor complete the form prior to submitting the I-485 package or will that be done later (and is that what the $85 biometric fee is?)

Do I file the I-130 & I-485 along with work authorization, travel permit etc all together in one package with one check or file the I-130 first, then the I-485?

Thank you so VERY much everyone! Yes, She is in fact in the US on an overstayed tourist visa.

Does this sound like a pretty straight forward case that we can and should file ourselves without needing an attorney?

Its not like we have a ton of disposable income anyways.

My Wife has a valid tourist visa, however she has over stayed the 6 months stamped inside Her total time here is a little over a year.

I am just in the initial stages of gathering all the required paperwork together to file for an IR-1/CR-1 visa for my Brazilian wife. We have an appointment to meet with an immigration attorney next week. However, I was curious to know how long from starting the process until my wife could receive authorization to work.

Currently she has an ITIN number, but this is not sufficient for employment.

Could anyone advise me on the timeline and what to expect in regards to work authorization please?
