  1. Paulette - What email address did you use to contact the London Consulate???

we've now got an interview date for september 8th! :D:dance::D

    congratulations!!!

Our re-approval was a week after yours. We are now waiting for Packet 4 from the London Embassy. Have you received your packet, and if not, how do you know of your Interview Date?

    paulette

we've not physically received Packet 4 yet, but my fiance emailed the embassy with a change of address notification and they responded with the following:

"Thank you for the information you have furnished. An interview appointment has been scheduled on your behalf for September 8, 2006 at 10:00 am. Written notification of your appointment has been sent to your new address, as requested.

Thank you for your e-mail correspondence.

    Consular Information Unit

    U.S. Embassy London"

i'll take that as a big hint as to what information our Packet 4 contains. :)

  2. Glad to hear everyone's petitions are moving along... ours has been touched 9 times since July 27th , our last was on August 10th, and we havent heard anything.

I can see the Washington Monument from my office window, but I am, most definately, not feeling patriotic today...

  3. Here's one to file under chutzpah:

Called vermont yesterday, asked, "Have you received my petition? NVC said that my petition was mailed to to Vermont on June 27th."

Vermont: "Yes, we received in June 5th."

    Me: "You mean July 5th."

    Vermont: "No, June 5th."

Me: "Well, what have you been doing with it since June 5th then?"

Vermont: Pause. "It is with a caseworker, you should hear something in the next week."

    #######.

  4. Rick 2000 - Can you please list the number and permutation of keypad entries you used to speak to a human being in VERMONT and not someone at the general USCIS help desk? I really want to talk to someone who can help, or provide some real information.

No touches, no openings, no nothing :(

    Hello,

I've been away and have not been checking the boards. So far our case has not been reopened or touched or anything. Our petition has been back in Vermont for over a month. It was returned on May 18th.

Our NOA1 was dated March 8th.

This is so disheartening. With all these people receiving and returning their RFEs I feel really low having not had any change in our case status. Am I the only one here with such an early NOA1 that has not yet heard ANYTHING?

Bah. I don't know what to do.

    E

No you are not alone-my experience similar.

MY NOA1 date "received" at VSC was March 8th (date was March 9th for receipt on the NOA2), so we are right together. What the VSC is doing is sending out the RFEs anywhere from about several days to several weeks or more after the time they recd them back from NVC- they are not working on them by virtue of ur NOA1 date. I also had not recd any emails or notifications, or case status changes at USCIS website either (today it still says Approved March 23rd) or any info by calling the NVC, until I called VSC Thursday- Frank said they recd it back on June 22nd, and yday Friday I called VSC again and Karen put me on hold called the NVC and came back on and said it was sent to VSC from NVS on June 28th and they had it there but could not say when it arrived. About 1 hour later yday (maybe Karen's called to NVC did st), I recd an email reply from NVC saying they had recd my recalled Petition and they immediately sent it to VSC, but they gave no dates. Previously, back in mid June I called the DOS in DC and was told the petition arrive back at NVC on May 29th, so what a mess. It seems the NOA1s right around March 6th are the last ones returned. Rick

  5. Yes - to additionally clarify: there is the FILE (which has sat in ones respective service center) and there is the PETITION which was forwarded to the NVC and subsequently your embassy. When I called Vermont to inquire the status of my IMBRA-RRE I was told by a very nice lady that my file was in a storage room in the next building over, and that she didnt have access to whether or not my petition was in it. That led me to believe it wasnt. That is how I decided to call NVC and track it down there, which is was and then it was "noted for sending" on June 27th. NOTE: This does not mean it was MAILED on June 27th, just "noted for sending." The woman at NVC said it takes 2-4 weeks to get it to Vermont (must go by pony express), the halfwit at my Senator's office said it takes "under 10 days."

  6. RFE u/d- RFE update through USCIS online case status/email

    cutiepie726..............4/7/06......4/19/05.....none....none......none.....VSC....UK

Note: My USCIS file was updated on 5/1/06 but it has not been touched since.

    What can I do???

  7. Expatrica - I am entirely empathetic. My fiance is also from the UK, and we our case has not been touched by USCIS since May 1st. And my Congresswoman and Senators are being extraordinarily unhelpful and particuarly bold given that i am a law-abiding, voting constituent.

We were told that our petition was mailed to Vermont from NVC on June 27th and still nothing. No one is helping, i am left with that sinking feeling of lost deposits and missing my fiance.

Is there anything else I could be doing? I'm phoning Vermont (1-800-375-5283) but I am routed to some one in the main USCIS office who reiterates the painful obvious fact that my "case has been approved on April 19th..."
