  1. Hey you guys,

Yes i'm sure i'm at 240 days and counting. My first NOA for my k3 was December 16, 2005. And no it hasn't combusted lol. The last touch I had was July 11. And we've called everyone, and everyone is on our case. But because me and my husband are of middle eastern origin, our congresswoman said that as middle easterners we are considered 'guilty' untill proven innocent. So basically they have to do all these different checks becaue God knows how many people have our names etc. Its quite sad.

    Thanks for the prayers!

  2. 16 months. WOW. Did you have any problems?

I wouldn't be surprised if I go up to 16 months. I'm loosing hope. My goal is that I will be in there in less than 2 years INSHALLAH :D. So next ramadan we'll be together :). INSHALLAH!

    11 months is a lot too..justwaiting

May Allah make us all patient inshallah :).

    Keep the posts coming...

OMG......why is the interview set in February?

  3. Asalamu Alikum and hello to everyone,

Would everyone be able to post how long they've been in this whole visa process. I just wanna know if there are people who have been in a longer time than I have.

For me: 7-months and counting for a k-3 visa.

    Thanks in advance,

    Zizi

ps-I would post this in the k3 section, but I felt like my process is dragging on since I'm originally a middle easterner!

  4. Your probably stuck at security checks. We've applied for a k-3 in December and its been almost 7 months since our first NOA. Contact your congressman/woman yourself and your senator. Also, you can request status of your case which takes 4 weeks for them to reply, and sometimes they don't reply at all. But our congresswoman was very helpful because they replied to her.

    So good luck,

    I wish you the best.

  5. Hi guys,

What do they do to you in the medical? lol. Like what kind of things do you have to do? And for those that have done it, how long does it take?

Second question. Does the NVC forward your stuff to an embassy of your choice or do they choose for you? Do you have a choice between Montereal and Vancouver?

    Thanks in Advance

  6. World Wide wait eh!

Thanks everyone for replying. It feels good to have people go through the same thing! I used to think I was the only 'special' case.

Hey Jersey girl, I would fill out my Time Line but my husband has all the exact dates. I know our K3 visa was received on exactly December 16, 2005. SO I just go by that date, and that's all I care about right now :).

ShirlJ its comforting to know that someone from Alberta (like myself) had the same thing happen to them. ANd its also comforting to know that it took 8months for you. It will be seven months on July 16th.

Looking forward to discussing more with yall!

  7. Aww, thank you too :).

Oh don't worry about it. Patience is the key. Patience is light at the end of a tunnel. I'm taking it well :).

I'm amazed when I looked at older threads of people's K3's being approved in like 3 months. I was in shock. That's luck. I wonder why ours is taking so long :(.

    haha @ jungle

Thank you guys for the warm welcome and fast replies :D

  8. Hello Everyone,

I am so glad I found this website. I finally have people to relate to loool. I'm in Canada right now waiting for my k3 and my green card to be with my husband in the U.S. It has been over 6 months since our k3 application..sadly.

Well yeah, I don't know what else to say but I'm just in it like the rest of you.

Looking forward to talking with the rest of you,

    Zizi
