Got the GC for my wife and approval notice in the mail today.
-
Went to the interviews today with my wife and son. I'm the USC petitioner. Each of them has their own interview time but we all got called in at the same time. The interviews were scheduled for 8am and 8.45am respectively. We got called around 8.15am. The officer was very thorough, asked many questions to check with that we filed on the applications.
We submitted the new medical exam, new tax returns, pay stubs, pictures. She said it will be approved and get our cards soon.
The interview was done by 9.20am. On our way home, got email/text notification that card for my son has been ordered. Has not received notice for my wife card yet.

We are going to have an interview on the same exact day in Houston!
Not a day earlier or later, the very same. We've got the letter and half a day later an email and a text message on the phone.
Sorry if I missed something, but since it's 14 months(same for us), are you going to do a new medical exam? We've been thinking about finding a uscis doctor, but so far the reviews scare me, I'm not a fan of medicals in general.
We just sent out EAD/AP last week too, all in one envelope.
What time is your interview?
We did the new exam last month at the office of the office below. Very reasonable price. I will bring it to the interview.

you should receive the mail this week, get ready for your interview.
Thank you.
I remember you or another member posted a PDF of the notice with things to bring to the interview.

Got email/text message about our interview schedule. It will be Sept 19 in Houston, exactly 14 months after our PD date. Long long waiting time.

Do you guys renew AP separately from the EAD?

We are a Jan 2017 AOS filer from out of Houston. From a k1. I noticed its taking like 13 months or so to schedule interviews for aos out of Houston. Really backed up. I created a facebook group for those of us in Houston, Dallas, Harlingen, El Paso going through AOS. If you want to join there it would be really helpful to post timelines and recent updates. Best Wishes!
What is the name of the FB group?

We just did our medical exam again. Hopefully the interviews will be scheduled for late Aug or early Sept. Last I checked with our congressman office, the file is with Houston field office and waiting to schedule. I asked them update us again.
We probably will wait for the interview letter before we do the EAD/AP renewal since our EAD will not expire until late Oct.

Still waiting for our interview appointment in Houston. It's more than 365 days since applications received.

Still no interview letter yet. It's been more than 365 days. Anyone with update?

Around 12-13 months so you are looking at Feb-Mar 2018 for interview. I'm a July 2016 filer and have not received anything yet.

Hi Tara, it won't be long now...I received my interview notice for Houston exactly 365 days after signing my documents with the lawyer.
Does the text notification tell you the date for your interview? How long after that you received the interview letter?

Thanks, best luck with your interview.
I was thinking of 12 month wait in Houston so I scheduled a trip in August, thinking our interview would be over by then. Now, i realize it takes 13 months so we may have to cancel the trip

I got the congressman office liaison to contact USCIS to check on my case and the reply was that my case is waiting to be scheduled for interview by the local office.

July 2016 filer from Houston here as well. Still waiting for the interview appointment letter. From what I can find, it looks like it takes 12 months for the AOS process.
Please let us know if you get any update.
-
Anyone with recent interviews or just got interview letter, please update with your timeline to help us out. Thank you
-
Woohoo, so based on the updated processing time, end of March would be processing May cases. Looks like a month or two of waiting for me.
-
Congratulations to those who completed their case and received the conditional GC. I know the feeling well and hope you enjoy it too.
-
Anyone else has interviews lately?
-
My point is that the waiting from other locations may not be that bad compared to some locations. So when July filers know that many people applying same time with them but wait longer than them for interview, it will give them perspective.
-
For people complaining about the wait, keep in mind that people in Houston, TX wait 11, 12 months from filing to interview. No need to complain.
Filing i-130 for adult son
in Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America

I entered US with B2 visa, doing adjustment of status and got my GC recently. Now I'd like to file I-130 for my adult son. In the new I-130 form under part 2, question 40a-d, it asks for class of admission, date, location.
Should I enter the info when I just entered with B2 visa?
