Are Tax returns required if applying based on 5 year residency? I am getting conflicting opinions. Would it matter if I sent extra documents information anyway? Thanks.

Thanks everyone. I am being overly cautious due to the nature of the application for citizenship. Yes she did learn how to drive. She was upset that day because they failed her for the driving portion of the test for going too slow around corners. It was frustrating and she has been driving for awhile. Thanks.

The circumstances are. I am applying for naturalization for my wife. The N-400 is asking about being arrested detained, etc. There was an incident about 6 months back that my wife got upset with me when I was teaching her how to drive. She got hot headed and left the car after she pulled over, walking down the road. It was a safe area and not much traffic so that was a good thing. The issue comes in where I was following her with the car and then on foot trying to get her back into the car. Someone must have seen this and called the police. The police questioned us, took ID's separated us. My wife had calmed down by this point and the police saw this was a minor domestic issue and let us go. They were very polite and went on there way. There was no accusations as to why I was following her since she explained that everything was alright.

My question is if this is warrants answering the part about being detained with a yes.
