  1. Get the medical certificate and return and present it to SLEC. There is a good possibility that is all you'll need to do and you will finish your immunizations and be done with this phase. Don't forget to bring a copy of your DS-160 confirmation page for your second day.

    Good luck.

Thank you for your kind words, Greenbaum.

  2. So I've lurked around the forums for a long while since my husband and I started our journey to getting me into the US. I haven't really seen many things talking about this topic and I'm sure it's hair-raising for many women out there unsure of what to do.

My OB and my husband basically told me to not tell the examining physician about my history. My husband said it's embarrassing for him and I'm not so sure about my OB. I guess she didn't want the hassle of making a medical certificate.

Anyway, it never crossed my mind to lie about it. Sure it's been treated and the examining doctor won't see it, but it doesn't mean I didn't have it. So I told her that I've had it treated and she told me that since my treatment was fairly recent (2015), she needs a medical certificate before I could go on to the next step.

Basically I completed all the major examinations for Day 1 and had to go home to get that medical certificate. I wanted to be honest about it and it's easier for people to tell you what to do because they're not in your position. If I wanted an honest start in a different country, then I wanted to do it the right way and be good with myself and with my conscience.

It may be the easier route to say "No" but then you'll have to live with yourself.

It's a struggle not knowing and we've done pretty good so far, so I believe everything will work themselves out. I'll be going back this Monday to hand in this medical certificate and fingers crossed I'll get my results with "Immunization" stamped on it.

This forum has helped me out a lot. Thank you for saying "Tell the truth" time and again.

I'll update when I can. Wish me luck, guys.

I registered to share my experience.

I'll be working on my Timeline very soon since it didn't seem to link the first time, I think. :/

    tl;dr

I had my medical exam this Thursday and told doc I had treated HPV. She told me to get medical certificate and I'll know the results this Monday.
