  • Our Story
January 21, 2005 I lost my precious wife of 25 years, she passed away while I was at work. I was devastated, it took me 6 months to come to the place where I was ready to move on without her and find a woman who I could love and be good friends with. I found Svetlana in Barnaul, Russia. We have been corresponding since July 14, 2005 with weekly letters translated there in Barnaul at Russian Pearls, an international dating and marriage agency. I have been calling Svetlana daily since about August 2005 and I flew to Barnaul in March of 2006 and was with Svetlana for 2 weeks. We will be married as soon as she arrives in America. I sent the completed I129F petition to the USCIS at Lincoln, Nebraska along with all the necessary documents, photos of us together, 51 pages of our in excess of 400 pages of letters over the last almost 12 months, copies of my phone bills and many other things which substantiate our relationship. We very much love each other and it is our highest goal and dream to be husband and wife.
I sent the petition in to the Lincoln, Nebraska USCIS center on June 14 and just yesterday I received the Notice of Action with a case number, but one thing very much bothers me. The one thing I do not understand is why did the California Service Center end up with my petition when it was sent to the Lincoln Center, which is the one for my area. When I looked at their website to determine the processing dates I noticed that the California center shows petitions with a receipt date of February 15, 2006 are now being processed while the Nebraska center shows petitions with a receipt date of May 29, 2006 are now being processed. Of course I would much rather my petition stayed in Nebraska as they are much closer to June’s petitions than is California. Why did they send it to California and can anything be done to change the location of processing? And so this is where it is now at, I am not good at waiting, why do they have to take so long?
