  1. I know we're all anxious and can't wait for the next step, but I think we need to let the system work itself out. If you just received your NOA2, give them time to properly process the case and help those people who are lost in the system or have been waiting for awhile. If you haven't received your case number and it's been a month, ok then call. But if you just got your NOA 2, wait a little bit. You can gather your docs and prepare for packet 3. Don't call and tie up the line for someone who really needs to talk to NVC. That's how I see it.

  2. Hi All,

My Venezuelan fiance, who is currently residing in Spain, is having a difficult time obtaining a police record from the División de Antecedentes Penales del Ministerio de Interior y Justicia in Caracas. Our I-129F has recently been approved by USCIS and we are trying to get the required documents from Venezuela. My fiance was able to a paper stating he has no criminal records and good behavior issued from his state. Would this piece of document be acceptable? If not, could you please point us to the right direction. Please advise at your earliest convenience as our case will be handled by Madrid and getting legal things done in Venezuela is challenging at the moment. Thank you in advance for your help.

  3. Hello July filers,

A little late to join the party but I thought I should add my status. I received text/ email on 7/27 of my NOA1 with the WAC number. I did not receive a hard copy of 797 but when I checked my status on USCIS, something was returned to USCIS on August 9. So I am assuming it's NOA1 and not RFE. I called USCIS and they were nice, but couldn't tell me what was returned. Hope we will get NOA2 soon. This waiting game is killing me.
