  1. Hello,

Yesterday (Aug. 10-2017) I went to my biometrics appointment and everything went just fine, however, when I go to the USCIS page to track the progress of my application it says the fingerprint fee has been accepted but the money still appears in my bank account.

Logic tells me that they wouldn't even schedule a biometric appointment for me without actually paying for it but it's very strange for them to accept the fee and me still keep the money in my account.

Did this happen to anyone else? Does USCIS check if there is sufficient money to later charge the amount?

    I'm mostly confused than concerned.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi everyone, me and my fiancée (she's in the U.S.) are gathering all the necessary documents and right now we have doubts regarding attachments. We have pictures, evidence, etc, but reading the guides they tell to "attach" pictures, sheets, bags, etc... How do we attach them?

Do we just put everything in the bag in the same order as the one written in the cover letter? Do we use clips for the attachments? We're pretty confused with this issue right now.

So, if any of you already went through this process and know how to properly attach the additional sheets and other things, please let me know.

    Thank you very much :D

  3. Hello, everyone.

I'm from Colombia, I'm engaged with a Colombian/American woman and we have a 3+ years relation.

I'm writing because I've read about people saying that the visa could be denied because the foreign citizen (me, in this case) doesn't have strong ties that bind him to his native country and I'd like to know more about the subject.

    A little about me:

I'm 24, I have a full time job and a bank account. I'm a professional, I graduated from a university at the beginning of 2015 and my job gives me a very decent pay.

    A little about her:

She's 25, she lives in Wisconsin, she works as a CNA and has also a very decent pay. She's from Colombia, her mother is American and that allowed her to go to the U.S. and live there.

    A little about us:

We met in Cali at the time I was in university, she decided to leave to the US and we kept our relationship going despite the distance, I visited her in winter 2013, she came in October 2014, I went again by the end of spring in 2015 and proposed to her. We want to get married and we both want me to go live in the US.

We want to file a K1 visa since that's the fiancé visa, but there are a couple of things I want to clarify before we start the process, those are the issues I mentioned at the beginning of the post.

So, I'd like to ask people that have experience in this matter or that have gone through this procedure about it, is having a full time job and a bank account considered strong ties?

Thank you all for your answers.
