  1. When you say you are almost at the end of your 90 days, do you mean since you entered on a K1 visa? If that is the case, no need to panic. Your paperwork is considered in process at this point (you have proof that it was mailed and received). Even if someone were to stop you and see the expired stamp, they would not deport you. They would just find out what your status is at USCIS and send you on your way. We didn't turn our paperwork in until way after my husband's 90 day mark due to a variety of reasons. It's not a problem. We were told they would tell us to file his paperwork as soon as possible. Not being able to get a DL or a SS# is a frustration but only that.

It is unnerving that you haven't received any notification even though they have had your documentation for so long. But some people's processing takes longer than others. Are you sure you sent the check for the correct amount and signed everything?

yes since i entered on the visa. yes i did send the right amount and sign everything, even if i hadn't they wouldn't just bin my application/ignore it without notifying me. i have nothing in the system atm because i have no notification. but just longer processing i hope. but i did send the right amount, sign everything, make a copy of it and its been received.

OKAY so these posts have definitely calmed my nerves. My husband and shipped our I-130, I-485 and I-765 packet on 10/5/2016 and USPS confirmed it was delivered 10/7/2016 @ 6:01AM. THIS WAS 12 DAYS AGO and I'm going crazy. They also haven't cashed the checks yet, as of this morning. I can't wait til I receive the confirmation- I'm like a crazy mad woman checking her phone/email every minute.

i send a postal order and im not sure how to check if these have been cashed - i tried the serial number and there doesnt seem to be any info on them (will have to ask the husband about this later) but yes its really helping with others in the same boat. and they are frustrating when you call them because they say there isnt anyone available to talk to - they are all busy call again (hence i came on here searching for answers panicking) but yes usps shows received from my tracking receipt

You had 90 days to get married. Technically you could wait years before filing for AOS... I mean, for obvious reasons you wanna do it sooner rather than later, but the 90 days is the timeframe to get married after entering the country, not getting married AND filing the paperwork!

LoL! I NEED TO WORK :crying::goofy: going a little insane here being lady of leisure for the past 3 months pretty much. not to mention we are kind of broke because of various expenses.

  2. was super panicking today, my 90days are up in 8days and no notification/texts nothing and we sent my package on october 3rd and USPS tracking shows it was received on the 5th. so has been about 17days. I tried to ring a number twice each time they said they need to ecsalate the call but the next above team cant take any calls (too many callers) im guessing theres loads of us panicking and they are behind.

I think I will give it till tomorrow- praying for my texts today or tomorrow.

So frustrating as I was at the DMV yesterday and they wouldnt let me make an ID/apply for a permit because on my visa it shows I have less than a week left.

  3. Hi I have an MPharm degree which was 4 years from cardiff university in 2014, passed my pre reg in 2015 and have been working as a community pharmacy till i left in july 2015. I am doing my research for the journey to get licensed.

Im living in california and can see i need to apply to

FPGEC first - get the ECE to accredit my degree, sit the FPGEE and the english exam

then i need to apply to the boards and have the NAPLEX

and then finally the california board exam.

anyone who has gone through this journey?
can you please give me a story of what your process was?

from what i have seen on FPGEC page they only accept 5year pharmacy programmes as of any 2013 graduates, however they do accept some pre pharmacy courses/education carried out in order to obtain entry to pharm school (so I'm thinking this would be a-levels).

Im trying to get as much up to date info from anyone from uk converting really.

    greatly appreciated thanks

  4. i have arrived on a k-1 visa and am a MPharm graduate so its a 4year degree from UK, i graduated in 2014, I am in the process for applying to the FPGEE however I think it would be better for me to apply to the ECE (education credential evaluators) first as they are the organisation that validate the degrees and send the results to FPGEE, the thing that is worrying me is that for graduates after 2013 you have to have a 5year equivalent degree, however courses you undertook pre pharmacy degree (say for admittance) may be accepted as the missing years. So i need to gather my transcripts, degree, qualifications pre uni and try and apply for that. iv emailed them with a brief explanation of what iv studied. but yes. seems very long quite complicated journey but the end game should be worth it.

  5. Oh ok that all sounds pretty good.

we were NOT planning on applying for the advance parole as the only reason we wanted it was to go on a honeymoon out of states but from what iv read its better to not attempt to leave the country even with advanced parole unless it is for something serious (i.e family member illness etc.)

As for the biometrics if there is a chance the appointment could be sent for that soon I think i would be better off waiting till we are returning from the other state so that we are home when the appointment comes - don't want to take risks.

Guess i'll just be delaying working and continue to go slightly out of my mind at home :)

  6. Hi Everyone,

quick background I'm in california on a K-1 visa, we have gotten married and are waiting to file everything...

Wondering if someone can guide me to where i may be able to find the following information....

1)After sending the AOS package (this will include my request for right to work paperwork also) how long after does the letter for

the biometrics interview come in? Is there a usual timeline.
-The reason I ask is because we need to go to another state for a few weeks we leave end of august and are worried if they will send us the interview whilst we are away. So we are wondering whether we should delay sending it all till we return which will be around september 21st. my 90day permit to stay expires october 23rd so we are filing within enough time i hope.

2)After sending the AOS package how long after does the date for the interview arrive? same as above question really, is it a set appointment or do you have the option of choosing when to go for it

3)How soon after does the right to work typically arrive?
I have already applied for a SSN but understand I need to have the right to work in order to actually work.

Any extra information will be greatly appreciated. thanks

    Hen

  7. got it guys! so it was a week from 27th monday to today pick up.

getting to the depot was a bit of a nightmare, its on an industrial estate (bridgend) and the road is not marked and all a one way road,....

can start the wedding planning now woohoo

  8. ok for some reason my tracking number is no longer being recognised. really worried what is going on? is this typical? should i still do ahead and pick up tomorrow which is the date they told me it would available back when the tracking number was working???

  9. Beleive it or not i got a reply earlier today.

Well it was email with the tracking number. The depot tracking info says i can pick up from monday. So i am SUPER CHUFFED!

my interview was also last monday (the 27th) and i was worried i wouldnt have my passport back as we are flying out to malta on 16th. We planned that before we even had the NOA2, we really thought i wasnt going to get an interview until next year.

But thankfully its all going ok. How are peoples wedding plans going? Im not sure whats the best quickest cheapest way to get the marriage license out in california near the sacremento area

  10. Hi everyone, iv been following the posts for a good while now - silently, the information has been a God send in those panicking moments as I'm sure many have gone through and are experiencing.

Finally made an account I had my interview June 27th 2016 and on the 29th my DS-160 CEAC page status has been updated to issued. it has read the same message saying 'Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application'

Can anyone tell me what the process is of being notified from the DX courier that they have my passport&visa?
I have received no email or txt, at the time of interview they confirmed my phone number however I'm worried whether from what i could see the lady did not put down the last digit of my mobile number. (i did repeat it to her to say it ends in these three letters)

I have no tracking number either to use on the DX site???

Any help or experience of what happens. They said 10days but from the interview to visa in hand pages I'm being hopeful for a week

    Thanks
