Ok you guys, our interview is Monday @ 8:30am at the South Korean Embassy. Well, actually he will be having his interview Sunday night here due to the large time difference. Anyway, we are getting very nervous, and I know everytime I thing about it I get butterflies in my stomach.. I am very postitive, we have everything in order and have all paperwork needed, and were well prepared ahead of time. Just want my VJ friends to wish us luck, prayers and keep your fingers crossed for us.....thanks everyone for your support through this past 8 months....I could not have gotten this far without you.

Ugh!!! Murphy's law strikes again. Email the consulate was the right thing -- K1 is handled differently than K3 (yes, you are right -- there are differences).

Well things may already have been messed up. I got a call from my fiance this morning and he told me they sent him a letter for a K3 visa not a K1 visa. Unless this is a standard letter they send for all K visas regardless if it is 1 or 3 something might be wrong. And there are a few differences posted on their web-site for documentation between both of them. I have sent an e-mail tonight asking for clarification and requesting the correct information be sent to him.

Has this happened to anyone else with a K1 Fiance visa - especially anyone going through Mumbai?

Hi Everyone totally off the subject conversation but I and my fiance are doing the I-134 affidavit of support,..

I had my sponser do the paper back in April on the 10th. Now Jatin's interview date is coming up fast but, the question is do I need to have the sponser redo the paper work? Everything is still current but, my fiance has heard we need to make a closer one? I have heard that its all right to have it that far back but, I seriously have no clue...the problem is through the mail I have to send it which took two weeks last time for him to receive because it was stuck in customs. So need a response as soon as possible do I send him a new one or will the old one work for his interview?

can any one tell " how much time do embassies take before sending packet 3 for k-3 visa to spouse"?

I am USC and called US embassy in islamabad, pakistan today and they told me to call at the end of october or beginning of November to find out if we have sent packet 3 for my wife K-3 visa. I was simply stunned and numbed. This cant be true, Hell.They have received the packet from NVC on 8-20-06.

It means it will take them more than 2-3 months to just send packet and another 2-3 months for interveiw and another 2-3 months for visa approval.

Can any one help. My mind is numb

THAT SUCKS BRO,I DONT THING IT SHOULD TAKE THAT LONG,USALLY K3 IS SHIPPED TO THE EMBASSY UNDER EXPEDITE IV SECTION,THAT MEANS THE EMBASSY HAVE TO WORK ON IT EXPEDITE.SEND THEM AN EMAIL,CAUS SOMETIMES THEY GET CONFUSED BETWEEN K3 VISA,AND CR1.LOOK AT MY TIMELINE.THATS FOR INDIA,AND I AM SO SURE THAT GOES FOR ALL OTHER EMBASSY,CONTACT HAFIZ HE IS FROM THE SAME COUNTRY HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO GIVE U SOME INFO.GOODLUCK.

Our K-3 was approved yesterday, I can't believe it, ours seemed like one of the ones that fell in to a black hole.....but now I am not too sure what to do, our I-130 seems to be moving along fairly quickly so.......

Yeah I told my mom...after he's done with his DDS ..i ain't working anymore. HE SAYS THE SAME. (got a good, caring, and understanding hubby ) but, we do fight alot. mein toh choti choti baat per gussa ho jaati hoon.

Our I-129F is taken a long time based on no RFE compared to others so I though Id look over everything to make sure I didnt do something wron... Sure enough, after looking over this form like 20 times before mailing I find that I checked "Divorced" under my wifes info...

hey kp,she received her passport this morning with the visa.

she will be here next wednesday,yes we both are exited,we have waited for almost 2 yrs to unite.

I arrived at the Embassy shortly after 9.00 this morning and about an half an hour later I was called to the interview. I was interviewed by a guy called Ronald and I must say he´s a really nice guy and shortly after we started I was at ease.

He asked me about how Rebecca and I met, where and when so I told him our story to which he replied that it was always fun to hear a good story. Then he went through our evidence of a relationship. I printed out 10 pictures some of which were from my causin´s wedding party one of them was the only one he asked about.

Next thing was that he paged through emails but didn´t really read any of them then he said that pictures carried a lot of weight. Then he said I was approved and would get the Visa in a few days. Since I have a flight on Wednesday I asked him if I should delay my departure to which he replied that they would have to have a printer problem for me to do that and to call them tomorrow afternoon if I hadn´t heard from them by then.

So everything looks like I´ll be flying over Wednesday

visa approved,hi all my vj freinds,just received a call from my wife,she got the visa..she says it was peice of cake,they were impressed with all the paper work she had was in oder.all they asked was how long u both know each other,where is he at this minute,when did u both got married,are u going to work there,when are u planning to leave,thats it, nothing else,and they did say that yr paper work is in great oder.they kept my 2005 tax returns.the interview last for less than a minute.goodluck to all my vj friends,u all have been a great support for me,this journey was indeed a pain in my butt.. but was well worth it.

Shalz, actually maybe I will second that. I thought I had sent a lot of gifts to my fiancee and then one day we had a conversation about it, and she made me count hem and found out she had sent me more But she did say I put in a lot of thought to my gifts

I have asked this question in another section, but if anyone here can answer it would be great too - My fiancee (USC) doesnt have her naturalisation certificate. Now, they ask for the details of that on the I-129 form though you can send in only the passport copy as per the form. I have heard they may RFE for this, plus they ask for the naturalisation certificate at the embassy. How big a boo-boo is this do you think?

I have found out it takes 1 year to replace it, so maybe we can apply and attach the receipt and exlain the situation, do you think they would understand?

I am trying to get this done quickly and since we are going through VSC, hopefully ours will be short wait...no offence to the others of course

And hey, if you guys would rather that I ask tehse questions in the K-1 visa section, I will, but thought I would rather ask all my questions to the India related people....

hi,i dont know about k1,but for k3 they asked my wife a copy of my natrulization certificate,and copy of my passport.at the final interview.

Man am I nervous about this.

My wife received her CR1 VISA from New Delhi Embassy on August 24. Thank God!!. She received the VISA from Courier. Anyone traveling on the same date as her on the Wednesday Aug 30 from Delhi to Newark, NJ? She is a bit anxious about traveling alone for 15 hours. Thank for all your best wishes and help. The journey is far from over but this is a new beginning..

OKay, seeing that bank of America doesn't want to help me by giving me a letter from them with details about my bank history because i haven't been with them a year what do i do now.....i make more than enough a year and just in the past 6 months with the bank i have had well over $30,000 in deposits but yet they don't want to help. what do i do now? thanks everyone for your help
