  1. Hi

When your case is on "READY" status, thats mean the Embassy already received your approved petition from NVC. Start to fill affidavit, gather all documents needed and send to your fiance. Process will goes quicker. The Embassy will mail the letter to your fiance (packet 3). In our case, my fiance received email from the Embassy and it was 2 weeks after our case in "READY" status .

  2. Hi all,

I am a bit confuse, nervous, happy and scared at the same time. Our case in CEAC Website was in "READY" status since 5th Oct 2016. And until yesterday, (14 days after) we haven't receive anything from the Embassy. This morning, i called US Embassy in KL and asked have they receive our approved petition from NVC, after few minutes waiting and they checked, the office told me that the Embassy already received our petition from NVC and told me the Embassy will email/contact me if they are ready to process our case.

2 hours later, someone CALLED me through my cell phone from the Embassy and asked me whether i have fill DS-160, i said no, then she told me to fill DS-160 online and email them the confirmation page. I asked her is there any document that i need to prepare, she said they will let me know after i email DS-160 confirmation page.

My question is, is it a good sign? since i never read any post saying that the Embassy call them and tell them what to do. :crying: I am a bit confuse because we didn't receive any packet 3. (normally they will send us before we fill DS-160 as i understand). Anyone experienced the same situation as ours.

  3. You don't have to go to shenzen. Either way, you have to go through both customs in HK and GZ. And yes, ferry terminal is far from the city.

    BY TRAIN:

The Airport Express train takes passengers from the Hong Kong International Airport to the Kowloon Station (now known as Hung Hom Railway Station) in Kowloon , Hong Kong in 20 minutes. The train departs at 12-minute intervals from 05:50 to 01:15 daily, with the last train leaving the Airport Station at 00:48. There are twelve trains daily between the two cities. Then, you can take a 15 minute taxi ride to the Hung Hom Station where the train departs for Guangzhou

    By Ferry:

Take the Airport express train to Hong Kong Central Station. The ride is 24 minutes. Transfer to the ferry from here. This link http://www.chinatouristmaps.com/travel/guangdong/hong-kong-to-guangzhou.html provides ferry timetables and prices. Be aware that the last ferry leaves at 18:10.

    Hope this will helps.

  4. well honestly yes we do have different religion and culture, i am a muslim and he is not, but the truth is, he just hates to fly that long, he never fly before in his whole life and the first time he ever get on the plane is when he came down here that one time, flight to malaysia is 16 hours and he was just wondering if meeting half way would be okay since the flight is much shorter, it has nothing to do we trying to run from the culture or anything like that

Hi guys! HI Jafifa1978. I'm a newbie and find that your case is really helpful. Sorry for K1 denied. Me and my fiance are gathering all the document and will send the petition sooner and it already get me nervous. As a Malaysian (but i'm a Christian), different religion can be an issue. My fiance fly more than 20 hours to visit me and its a part of tough journey of being apart but it worth more than anything. I suggest that he fly to Malaysia to meet you again, meeting you and your family will b good since you have different religion, culture etc. I can understand if different religion will b a red flag in Malaysia. If he can spend more time, that will be good. But love always win! If you can get married in Malaysia, that will be better. I wish you best luck with new petition.
