Guys, just an update. Today is exactly 2 month after I filer my N400 on 9/13.   I received bio reuse letter this morning on my document tab, and also status change to interview was scheduled.  As of now, I still don't see the interview letter, but I guess it will show up in couple days.  Hopefully everything could be smooth.  Best luck to all of us!

I got the same thing and mine will be the Cleveland office too! Hopefully the interview letter will show up in a few days. The bio reuse letter also showed up on my document tab this morning.

I'm sure things are going to me moving along for everyone else as well. Good luck

    Hi all,
I have a quick question about the "processing times".

I am still waiting to hear anything on my AOS since the last update was "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received" on February 28 2017.
According to the USCIS processsing times my local field office is "Processing Cases As Of Date:  October 10 2016". What is meant by processing?
    Final decision?
They start working on the case?
How long in advance do they send out interview dates? (They have to budget some postal run time, etc.)

Maybe someone who has been approved and had an interview can give me some information...
We are considering to move and since there is so much trouble going on with address changes, I am hesitant to do so.

    Thanks in advance.
    Chris

By processing times they mean they're processing cases they received in October 2016 you can always put in a service request online to see if you can get any more information on your case.

How many days it took them to answer your service request? Mine was never answered, never assigned to an officer.. none at all. I made the SR on September 5. I am slightly heartbroken.

I put in a service request at the end of August and they sent a response September 28th. However they sent the response after I called the 800 number and inquired about my case. You should probably call their number and ask to speak with a Tier 2 officer.

  4. So I had put in a service request and found out that my case was sent to Portland, Maine instead of Boston. When I had checked the case processing times for Portland earlier this month they were working on cases from January 9, 2017 and today I went to go check and the date had regressed to November 2016. This has been such a frustrating journey. It has been 265 days since I applied for AOS

    Dear All,

Please share your recent experience submitting a service request to USCIS, I have submitted one in regards to a pending I-485 and it has not been even assigned to an officer. It was submitted on September 1, it was expected to be responded by on September 23, but as of now, still no updates.

Has anyone recently submitted one, any updates? Anything helps, please. Have there been cases where USCIS never responded to a service request?

    Thank you!

You should call the 800 number and ask them why your case hasn't been assigned yet. I submitted a service request at the end of August and got a notice 2 days ago after I called the number and asked them what was going on with the service request.

Yeah maybe I will give them another call next week. How come your case is in Portland, Maine though? Unless that's a service center that processes applications eligible for interview waivers, it's weird that they'd send it there considering your local office seems to be Boston.

Yeah, I asked her the same thing.  She said some service centers were backed up and they've been sending cases to different offices so they can get back on schedule with processing their cases. I realized it doesn't even matter if someone looked my service request because I haven't got a response from them yet and its been over a month.

Mine still haven't been assigned since August 28th. I really wonder why it takes 3+ weeks for something like this, and when I call and speak to a Tier 2 officer I don't really get a reply either.

Let me know what your reply says once you get it.

I called the USCIS # and got to speak with a Tier 2 officer. They haven't responded to my notice yet even though it's been over a month and someone looked at the service request on September 15th. She did say that my case is now being handled by the Portland, Maine office, other than that I couldn't get any more information out of them. She said they've been really slow with applications for some reason. Maybe you can call them again and see what's going on with your case.

I submitted my request on August 31st. I dont understand why they haven't assigned anyone to your case yet. Hopefully, we hear good news in the next few weeks. But i'll keep you posted if I ever get a response from them. It's been more than a week since my case was assigned but I haven't heard anything. I've seen people that have applied after me get their greencards already and it gets a little frustrating.

Thanks for the info. I submitted my SR's exactly three weeks ago today with a T2 officer who said to call back in 2 weeks if I don't hear anything back. So I called back today because they're not even assigned to someone yet, but the T2 officer I spoke to this time couldn't give me anymore info either. All she said was that there are no notes indicating that I may require an interview, just like you. She also said the last time "my page was looked at" was August 29th, a day after I submitted the SR. Not sure if that means anything though.

The weird thing is that she suggested I email the lockbox support to try and get a direct answer about the case. But I don't know what that'd do for me as they only sort applications and cash checks before rerouting them somewhere else...

I'm in the same situation put in a service request at the end of August. I'm supposed to hear back from them this week. When I logged into my account it said as of Sept 11, 2017 an officer has been assigned to my case for the service request.

Hi guys. I haven't posted in a while. Got my green card in the mail today

    Aos from vwp. No rfes

March 3 2017- aos packet sent via usps priority mail
    March 6 2017- packet received
March 16 2017- biometrics appointment letter
    March 30 2017- did biometrics
    May 16 2017- EAD/AP approved
May 19 2017- EAD combo card mailed
May 24 2017- EAD combo card received
August 1 2017- Received email and text updates for aos- jumped straight to - interview scheduled for September 5 at 11.30am
September 5 2017- went for interview- pretty straight forward, IO swore us in and just asked us questions to confirm identity, when we met and supporting evidence. Supporting evidence we took where - joint bank account statements, photos with us and other people ( IO took 4 photos from the album), health insurance( asked why she didn't include me on the policy within a month of marriage as she was supposed to. We told IO that she couldn't include me as we had to wait for my SS number and IO was ok with it. Apparently if you're a federal employee and if you were to include spouse in your health insurance policy, you're supposed to include them within a month of marriage. We also took our driver's licenses to show matching home addresses. Received 'card in production' email update at 7pm
September 7 2017- received 'welcome to America' mail. Also received text and email updates - card mailed
September 11 2017- received green card in mail

    Congratulations!!!!!

I received my NOA 1 the first week of Feb, I put in a service request at the end of August and haven't heard back from them yet. Keeping my fingers crossed I hear something soon!

Ours is the same. Still says fingerprint fee recieved on Feb 27th. We have EAD but that's it. Thinking we will call too.

Ours is the same, it says fingerprint fee received Feb 7th. I called the 1-800 number last week and the person I spoke to said that the cases were taking longer to process and the field office was still working on cases from Nov 2016.

Gottcha. Usually (again, nothing is guaranteed with uscis) if at this point you still haven't gotten the ready for interview update, it's likely that your interview will be waived. Of course the status could still change at any time and can also jump straight to interview scheduled, but what seems to be common is the longer you don't get a status update the more likely it is that your interview will be waived.

It's easy, you need to get to where you need to enter your case on the phone, wait for them to say everything and then press 3 to "report a problem with your case", that will get you through to a person.

    Thanks!!!

Hey. I have the same situation with my wife. Fingerprint fee received Feb 9th with no change. Called last week. Said my local office still has cases from November so my time is still 4 months away before I can do anything other than wait

I'm in the same situation. It says my fingerprint fee was received Feb 6th. How do you find out what your local office is?

  14. Hi!

I'm adjusting from a K1 visa. I filed the application at the end of January. Since then I've had my fingerprints done and received my EAD card. However when i go online to check the green card process it says finger print fee received February 6th. Its May now, is this typical of the AOS. Has anyone been in the same situation and if you were how were you able to get updates. How long did you typically have to wait for the green card after getting the EAD card.

    Thanks
