Hi all! I have been absent for so long it's like I've never been here
CONGRATS to everyone who got an Interview Date, and special CONGRATULATIONS
:goofy:
to all those who were APPROVED.
I have a quick question: My husband had the interview on 10/19, and got a 221g for more evidence of our relationship. We submitted the requested evidence on 10/24, including more photos, emails, IM chat logs, and a personal letter I wrote detailing the timeline of our relationship. The "last updated" date has changed three times since then, while the status showed AP, but when checking today the status was changed to READY (with the generic interview scheduling text underneath), and last updated date was 12/05 (yesterday). They kept his passport when we dropped off the additional evidence.
Is it reasonable to hope that we have been approved and the status could change to Issued sometime soon?
Thank you!

Well, week's over and haven't heard anything from the Embassy. They haven't even touched the file since 24-Oct-2016 when I dropped off the evidence.
Hopefully I will hear something soon, my husband's medical expires on December 28th :/
-
What did you submit for evidence of your relationship before the request? Just curious
Pictures of us together from all the years we've known each other, emails, wedding photos, receipts of money I've sent to him (only for the past year, I couldn't afford it before that), and phone records.
The officer barely looked at those, though. She kept asking questions to try and trick him.

Hi, good luck with everything. My husband also lives in Cuba we are waiting for his interview to be schedule. I hope everything works out for you.
Hi! Thank you for the support. I'm trying not to think too much of it. They have no legal ground to deny the case, so I'm planning on pushing as far as it takes. My husband and I have been through so much, this is just another little test
If you can, try to be with him at the interview when the time comes. They are being really tough with marriage petitions lately. Good luck on getting an interview soon!

Congrats to all the approvals! If feels great to see so many people reach the end of their journey.
I will be watching that AP for the next few days in hopes it changes to Issued. We were asked for more evidence of our relationship, which we provided...a lot more of it.

I call every day... Today I got nothing again. I feel like you... It's sad and hard. When we didn't get a November interview I got depressed for 3 days. I'm hoping this week or next they start
Message me if you need to chat! I'm always up for talking!!!!
Hi! I get how you feel. I just had to wait two months, and it felt like ages. We just had the interview and got a 221g for more evidence of our relationship. I will be praying that you get a date for December, and get the best news in time to spend New Year's with your SO.

Okay I know you feel down but lets make some lemonade out of these lemons. Good news is your case is at the embassy. No denial just a request for more evidence.
So focus on more. Highlight your visits. I would write up a relationship time line. No need to go through the (I didn't speak to him for a year). If asked he says I wanted to finish school before I immigrated. The truth that's it. Short and sweet,
Get some affidavits from family and friends who know you (no need to get them notarized) just a wrote up they have seen you two together and they know you two to be in love and real.
Have you added hm to any of your accounts if so include, Health insurance, car, bank accounts, lease, 401K.
Here's an example's I have passed along since 2011 for a Relationship Timeline and Affidavit of support.
Hi dwheels,
Thank you for the support and guidance. I came back today, after visiting the Embassy to drop off more evidence.
CEAC shows an update on 24-Oct-2016, same day we dropped off the papers, but everything else is the same. I wrote up a timeline, highlighting the period we dated before I left (more than 2 years), our wedding, and my visits during the past years, and gave them more documentation of our communication this past two years, and the years before our separation. He never mentioned our separation. When asked, he said exactly what you mentioned. He wanted to finish college before traveling. The officer clutched on to the fact that I didn't visit for almost two years.
They said they'd be in touch to let us know what else is needed. Now it's just a matter of waiting, and staying positive.
Thank you again.

OMG I am truly sorry to hear that. Truly unfair to hold the temporary separation against you and your spouse. Every couple can have issues from time to time that may need time to work things out, it's not all rainbows and ponies. I am baffled that they still require additional evidence considering you've visited several times along with other evidence since you've gotten back together.
I know, I'm shocked as well. Couples can have issues, especially us, since we got married very young. I was 19 and he was 20. Thanks for the support

Interview today. Got a 221(g) for additional evidence of our relationship. I had started a case back in 2011, which was closed because he was not ready to leave the country at the time. We separated for more than a year for this reason, during which I did not visit or call. We got back in touch in 2014, and decided we still want to be together.
I have visited several times since then. Our relationship is as real as it can get! We have pictures, emails, phone calls, money I have sent, etc. from before our separation and since we got back together. We met when we were both children, for God's sake. Sorry for the ranting... I'm so out of it right now.

Hey chic heard anything as yet ?
No good news. Got a 221g to bring more evidence of our relationship. We were separated for almost two years during which I did not visit or call, but on 2014 we got back together and restarted the whole process. I had started a petition back in 2011, when we got married, but he wanted to finish school and I wasn't ready to wait. The officer didn't believe that story...so, ready to keep waiting. Problem is the medical expires in December 27. :/

Lol relax it would be fine. I intend to surprise my husband of the result so I wont tell him the exact date of interview that way he wont be nervous waiting lol
Good strategy!
-
Did they say anything to you during the interview or at least ask ur passport? It should be fine
No, my husband is the one at the interview...lol. I couldn't be there due to my work schedule, so I'm just sitting here biting my nails

Interview this morning. Appointment was at 7 am, but I still haven't heard anything. Fingers crossed... ?

Hi everyone! It's a quiet time now, just waiting for the interview date in 2 weeks.
Congratulations to all the APPROVALS and CCs. It's always great to be done with one more step in the process.
:goofy:
Quick question: Could anyone who had POE in Miami share their experience? I have heard it is not too bad.
-
im trying to check the ceac website and it said application error has anyone experienced this with the ceac website
Yes, I am getting the same error. It is probably an issue on their end.
I just had my CR-1 interview in Montreal Canada and was APPROVED! I luckily had #8!
So happy to have all this stress behind me!!!

Well, I actually got the Interview Letter by email 30 minutes after I got off the phone with NVC last night. I had called on Monday, and nothing yet...then magic happened on Wednesday
My husband already had his medical done, since someone else had told him the interview could happen much sooner. All that's left is waiting...
The idea that he could finally be home for Thanksgiving... OMG
-
Congratulations on the interview date! And how cool that you get to celebrate two days in a row
Congratulations on having your interview date now!
Usually, the P4 letter / email with interview date is emailed within a few days, but unfortunately, sometimes it takes longer. (For reference: Ours took ages and we had to wait for 18 or 19 days
)
Yay, so happy! Congratulations for being at the end of this
For me, this is super surreal that we're in September already. Soon, I will have single digits in my ticker for the interview. I cannot believe it and I'm getting super nervous now!
Thanks! And congratulations to everyone else who is getting a ID!

Checking in. This is my lucky thread. Interview is FINALLY scheduled for 19-Oct at 7:00 am. Our wedding anniversary is on the 20th, so hopefully those are two days in a row that we can celebrate!
Good luck to everyone still waiting
(I'm so happy I am jumping up and down on my chair)
-
The new thread should be up today, right? Hopefully I will be able to post my ID on that one.
Today makes 65 days and still no interview date. But well, I am going about this the zen way...it will happen when it's meant to happen.
Congratulations to everyone who is at the end of their journey!
It is truly inspiring to see how many people endure the same process to be with their loved ones.
-
Congrats to everyone who got dates this week! And those who were approved...nice! You can finally breath easy.
I don't have an interview date yet, but I just visited my husband last week, which makes the wait a little easier. I will wait until Wednesday next week, when scheduling for Havana is all done, to call NVC. If not next week, then we will get a date at the end of the month for October. Whatever it is, we are almost there.
The best for everyone
-
I am praying for you. You will get it this week.
Thank you
I am praying for us both, and all the others who are still waiting
Good vibes all around this week so we go to sleep on Friday with an interview date confirmed.
-
Well, I will save myself the trouble and wait until the end of the week to call
Hopefully they will have some good news by then
-
Another month. I will be visiting my husband in a couple weeks...yay! Hopefully we will get a date before then
Congrats to everyone who was approved today.
