On 11-29-2017 my husband went in for our long awaited reaffirmed petition interview. We arrived at about 7:45 for an 8:30 appointment. They finally allowed him entry at 8:00. He waited about two hours before submitting his documents and taking bios.

While submitting documents the person taking the docs asked how long ee have been married, commented on a picture we submitted of us with a cheetah in South Africa on one of our vacarions. My husband said he was filling a form similar to a matrix of the documents and information.

He then sat down and waited approximately 30 minutes before called to window 9. His officer was a white young gentleman, and my husband said he was kind, respectful and my husband felt very at ease. Here is the conversation:
The CO called him to window 9 and said Mr...your visa has been approved.

    NO QUESTIONS!!! ASK
Gave him a white slip with highlighted instructions  to register online and to pick up his visa. we notice its different from the normal blue slip guess they change that.
Mr...i will give you your passport so you may re enter the embassy at 1:00 to pick up the documents from your case , please be sure to return today at 1:00pm
We returned at 1:00pm had a bit of a delay , picked up the documents from our original interview, noir and what we brought with us. He left his passport to be given to the officer for processing.
My husband was asked no questions at his interview. Was only given instructions to pick up docs, he is approved and instructions to pick up his visa.
As frustrating as this process has been and the long journey , it was worth it. Now for the life journey we fought so hard for to begin.
Peayers for those still in the process, God willing your day will be upon you to reunite with your loved ones.

On 11-30-17, our status changed to issued.

now we would like to know what the next step will be ? will it change to ready or delivered  to dhl ?

and what is the best route to travel to the us without a transit visa .?

and whats the best Point of entry?

WOW!!  I cannot believe u were asked no questions.  Congratulations to all.  My hubby is on his way to the states as I write this.  He will be here w me tomorrow nite.

Our status never changed to ready for pickup but we got an emailed saying it was ready (was ready in 2 days).   As far as the best route goes, idk if there is one better over the other.

They want to research what your husband has told them at your interview. This could include visiting his home and talking with his neighbors to see if they know you are his wife.

Mainly I’m interested in timeframe.  I realize one persons experience doesn’t mean ours would b the same.   Has anyone experienced them coming to their home?  I just can’t see them doing that but what do I know.

Hi family out here , greetings to all. Successful reaffirm applications , can you kindly share questions asked ❓

Some of the questions my husband was asked were:

    1.  How many children does your wife have?

    2.  How many children does the petitioner have?  (He was trying to trip him up since they r one and the same)

    3.  Where did we meet?

    4.  How many times have I been to Ghana?

    5.  When is the last time I've been to Ghana?

    6.  Who is Ethan?  - funny cuz neither one of us know who that is

    7.  Asked who David B_____ is?  (hubby's father)

    8.  When did u last speak w/ur wife?

    9.  What did u talk about?  - really?

    10.  Asked about the adoption and who the child was in relationship to hubby - where was the child's mother and this I believe is what he's checking more into (although I think they should have already done this).

My wife's interview went well. She was approved. She did not have her medical so she was instructed to drop the medicals at DHL. They kept her passport. Thank you all for your support. God is good all the time.

Congratulations!!!!  Glad there was no problem w/not having the medical.

We were approved pending more administrative processing - he said it would take 2 weeks so will see - not what I was hoping for but not bad news either.  They did keep his passport.

My wife's Visa appointment is tomorrow, 11/1/17.

She did her medicals today and a police report. She will not have any of these tomorrow for the interview. I know this sounds wired. When I got the email yesterday to schedule her appointment, the only day that was available was November 1st so I went ahead scheduled her even though I knew she has to do the medicals and a police report.

What should we expect since she doesn't have those documents?

Good luck.  My husband ‘s interview is tomorrow also.  Idk anything about no medical and police report.

Ok thank you i was referring to whatsapp i exported my chats but i started screen shot cutting and pasting because the way the chats came up in ms word i thought the embassy might accuse me of making the chats up since we all lying about having a legitimate marriage therefore causing our cases to be sent back and this death sentence of a weight that we are going through and I have a daughter that will be turning one years old with my husband he's not here to witness anything can you imagine I want to see my husband a total of 15 times yes I said 15 times since the three and a half years we've been together I don't understand what other proof they will need along with all the other pictures and chats and emails I sent even the immigration offices in Ghana joke and say you sure are here a lot how can my passport lie you can see the stamps coming and going this is a horrible horrible! Experience

WOW!! 15 times. That’s a lot!!!  With all the WhatsApp conversations (we had over 1700 pages) they can’t possibly  think someone could fake all that.   I feel ur pain I do and it is a shame ur daughter doesn’t get to b w her father.  Stay strong it will come to pass.  Good luck.  Don’t hesitate to ask further and keep us posted as to ur progress.  Praying

how can I just print out the messages between me and my honey monthly it is very hard to screen shot the messages then cut than paste thank you im waiting for my case to be reaffirmed mine case got back to uscis april 2017 still nothing

Where r u talking?  On WhatsApp under ur contacts name you can export ur chat to ur email then I saved the file under Microsoft word - I edited it there (they don’t need to read all ur conversations) and printed it from there.  If ur talking text on ur phone - copy and paste is the only way I know of - tedious.  Let me know if this helps or u have more questions.  Good luck.  We waited 18 months to hear something.  I’d advise you to contact the ombudsman for assistance sooner than later.

  8. Once you have your final interview and you are approved, do you have to pay for the green card?  Either at that time of approval  or when u pick up your visa.   My understanding is once you get your visa, you need the numbers off it to pay for your green card before traveling to US.  Anyone w/experience please advise.  Thank you -

Huh, that's not very intuitive, but it did get me through to the place where you can schedule an appointment. We got there yesterday via a different route. Still showing that there are no dates available. I guess all of the November dates are taken. What time yesterday did you schedule your appointment?

we scheduled ours about 4pm USA eastern time there were 4 available spots on the 1st and there were 5 available spots on the 8th.

Huh, my brother and I both tried. It asks if you are a first time visitor to the site, clicked yes. It asks if you want an immigrant visa or non-immigrant visa, clicked immigrant and it says "If you are immigrating to the United States, you need to have a petition approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). See the Immigrant Visa Information page for additional information. This process is handled separately by the Embassy."

Congratulations on your interview date btw!

thank u - good luck to your brother as well

No it IS up and running - we scheduled our appointment yesterday.   It's not very user friendly though.  Once you go in and you say yes this is ur first time here - go to login and from there you'll be able to register.    Have them try again.  Our interview is set for November 1st.

I will say there were a couple questions that I didn't know the answer to  like they ask about it your visa class a CR1 or IR1 - since we've been married 4 years I put IR1 the other question was visa priority - a regular or 221g - I put regular since I don't know what a 221g was but from there they'll give u a date.   If you need help - holler.

So, my brother and sister-in-law picked up a packet yesterday and it directed them to go to ustraveldocs, but the website is not actually set up to schedule immigrant visas. I went in through the non-immigrant visa side and found that there aren't any available interview dates anyway...I guess this process is about taking minuscule steps between long waits.
