Not initially, we just go a NOA-looking document with the AP. But now in the mail, the combo EAD/AP card, maybe a week later.
-
Is it weird/alarming that we got the AP document first? I had the impression the EAD came first, then AP, then an interview call. We're well past the expected adjudication timeframe, and still no EAD. Anybody else running into this?

Well, that's weird. The approval notice says:
"The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center ... The USCIS has completed all action; further inquiries should be directed to the NVC."
Then NVC is supposed to snail mail us (hopefully me here in the States and not my fiancée in Jordan) a notification that the petition has been sent to the embassy.
I get that there's processing time and it'll take another minute for it to get sent to the embassy. So I can see a couple of weeks, maybe even three. But six weeks? And the call center couldn't even look up the receipt number? I find that strange, even for a government bureaucracy.

Hi Everybody,
We received our NOA2 dated 1 June. I called NVC today, and they told me they didn't have our petition yet, and it could take up to 6 weeks for them to get it.
18-Month Extension Letter Expiring Soon
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
My wife's extension letter, which was for 18 months, after we filed the I-751 to remove conditions, expires in 60 days. USCIS says they won't do anything until 30 days out, but she just had a problem with an access badge at work, because of her being two months out from her green card extension letter expiring.
What can we do?
