  1. I think they come up automatically when someone changes their appointment. I kept checking and managed to get a little earlier but from what I see there is so many people doing the same you have to be lucky to get one. Good Luck .. Its a pain doing the waiting game but it worth it in the end. I fly out on in two days to Start our new life xx

  2. Hi we are filing in the affidavit form for my interview next week.

Im just wondering if anyone can help. We husband plans to leave this week to find us somewhere to rent before we buy, and also so we can get an address to enrol the children in a school straight away. iI hoping I can follow soon after my interview on 29th July.

As we have sold our house we have no other assets just a bank statement confirming that we have a large sum that we got from the sale of the house earlier this year.. He filed his tax returns and we have the copies for this also . Is this enough for the form? Im a bit worried that as he has no permanent address as of yet that we may need another sponsor who lives there right now??

  3. I have rescheduled to a 29th Appointment, from the 4th August The earliest I can possibly go is 26th, Id love to get a 26th!!!! Gonna keep trying..........

  4. How to Find Out WHEN Your Case Number was Assigned

For those that don't call every single day and want to know exactly what date their case number was assigned, there's an easy way to find out that simply involves looking at your case number. The first three letters are the three-letter consulate/embassy code. The next four numbers are the year the case number was assigned. The next three numbers are the Julian date it was assigned, plus 500. And finally, the last three numbers are the sequential order of when it was assigned that date. You can find a chart with Julian dates here [10].

For example: MTL2014815162. Let's put some lines in to divide it up. So: MTL|2014|815|162. This means that this case is going through Montreal and the number was assigned on November 11th, 2014, and it was the 162nd case that day to be assigned a number.

  5. I think the different countries have different timeframes. Uk seems to be pretty quick. It may be that you can find your Number before you receive the letter. I was given the details through another member on how to find your number before the letter is posted to you. If anyone is interested Ill try to find the post showing how to do it ..

  6. HI I wonder if anyone can help, Just when I though I was organised, Ive stupidly not realised that I need to have two shots of the MMR shot, I was planning to have the first one this week, However I didn't realise that you have to have a follow up shot one month after. Would this mean that if the second one isn't done before the interview then I won't be approved at the interview ?????

  7. Heading to Laguna Hills or San Juan Capistrano, These are the areas we've been looking at x Im so excited to just get there now. My kids have just all got there US Passports, House is sold. We are in Spain on a long holiday until my green card comes, so its just me holding everyone up.. Although my husband may head out there in a few weeks without me to start looking for a place x

  8. Ive ad this back today!!! Not very reassuring :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

The Immigrant Visa Unit has no record of having received an approved petition in your name. As soon as the petition is received, which can take up to eight weeks from the date on which the petitioner receives the approval notice, Form I-797, the Immigrant Visa Unit will send you a letter notifying you of your case number and of the steps you are required to take to begin processing your application. In the meantime, you may wish to visit our website at https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/required-documents/ for a list of the documents you are required to furnish on the day of the interview.

  9. It seems we are all in the same boat, I think my husband will head out in about three weeks, we are trying to all stay together for as long as possible.. We don't really want the family split up. I should have my NOA2 today then. I was hoping they posted them both the same time. Ive also send a request for the LND number. Let me know how you get on? If you hear anything back. Its a waiting game thats for sure. Good Luck
