Applied online - 07/23/19 

Receipt notice - 07/24/19

Biometrics notice online - 07/27/19

Biometrics appointment - 08/12/19

It seems, and I may be wrong, that of all the people who were California filers and have been approved, most if not all had been transferred to the Nebraska office.  Does that seem accurate for those of you who have been keeping track?  Wondering now what factors determined who was transferred and who was not...and if those of us still in California office are just doomed for a much longer processing time by sheer luck of the draw.

My friend, who is May filers and California filer as well, has not heard from them since the update on reuse fingerprint in Mar 2019. Her case is still in CSC. My package was over 500 pages, so I don't know if the more sufficient evidences people have, the more chances they will get approve faster. 

Finally!!!

March 11, 2019 - Fingerprint Review Was Completed

Hi everyone, my husband gonna be the joint sponsor for my friend, so he has to file form I-864. But we file tax jointly then I have to file I-864A as well. I have several questions regarding to form I-864 & I-864A:

On form I-864 part 6:

1. For "current individual income" and "current annual household income", do you put the 2018 income or the estimate 2019 income?

2. And if you use 2018 income, this is the exact number based on W-2 right? And it will be different from the number on our 2018 tax income (after tax), which is number 24.a

3. Since we filed tax jointly, does my husband put me down in number 8 which is "income from any other person who was counted in household size"? 

On form I-864A part 4:

4. What should I put for  the tax income for the last 3 year, which is Part 4, number 2.a-c? Do I put the same number on our tax return as my husband's I-864 or we have to separate the income? 

5. Do I have to submit copy of my GC? My GC is expired and I am currently in Removal of Condition on GC.

I am so confused.

1. She (your friend) has to submit I864, no exceptions. Her IRS transcript on its own is enough. He (the beneficiary/immigrant) should not have any income, but since it's married filing jointly, they should submit her W2s. 

 1. They filed tax jointly last year so their income is above the HHS Poverty. For example: hers is $10,000 & his is $20,000. So when she files I-864, she just puts $10,000 for the income plus her 1099, despite the fact that their IRS transcript shows $30,000?

2. Then my husband & I will put a separate number for the income for I-864 & I-864a, just like theirs right?

3. By the way, is the annual income what we got on the W2 or the adjusted gross income?

Correction - I think beneficiary can file adjustment of status even if petition has not been approved yet but has been filed. Basically, as long as beneficiary has a priority date and a visa number available to them while they are in the US they can file for an adjustment.

Yeah we live together, but we are not a family.

For i-864, we just need to print the tax transcript from IRS online or we have to submit 1040 with W2 as well?

And do we submit 3-year tax or just 2018 tax return?

Hello everyone, 

I'm asking this for my best friend. She is a green card holder. She is sponsoring her husband (F2A) and his is PD is Jun 2018. He is currently on F1 visa.

We just checked the Jun bulletin and the date of filling jumped to Mar 2019, so this means he is eligible to file AOS right? 

Now he is preparing to adjust his status in the US. My husband will be the co-sponsor for her husband since my best friend's only income in 2018 is not enough. 

So for the i-864, we have some questions:

1. My best friend will need to file form i-864, but using just her 2018 income right? Because her husband's income was from OPT and his OPT expired in May 2018, as I read somewhere Uscis does not count income from OPT. 

2. My husband will also need to file another i-864 right? Since my husband & I are married, do I have to file form i-864A? 

3. We live in the same house address, then my husband will file i-864 or i-864a

I received the 1st notification on May 10 and received 2nd notification yesterday about transfer to another office as well.
