McBee got a reaction from K&J Avouzi in K1 denied - Ghana
I met my fiancé in  2006 when I visited my Uncle in her hometown. We are Jehovah's Witnesses, so we went to the same Kingdom Hall for worship. We were just mutual friends at the time. We lost contact  in late  2008 when  when I travel to the state.  With some effort we got contact again in January 2015 and we started dating. Because we knew ourselves as friends back in 2010, it was so easy to blend and as Witnesses we had the same values, so I proposed to her in August 2015 when I visited Ghana.
My fiancé had the interview on on January 3rd, and the old White man thinks our case doesn't make sense. This is what happened. I came to Ghana myself to support my fiance during the final part of the process because I knew how important it was for us to be together. I gave her passport to show as a proof that am around, as the new rules in Ghana did not permit petitioners to be part of the interview. She answered every question, but when the CO got to the sheet describing how we met, he stopped to ask why after losing contact for 5 years, when we got back together again and then started dating I came back to Ghana to propose to her? She answered we mutual friends already before losing contact, so when we came back as friends again and then started dating, it was so easy for me to propose marriqge and also as Witnesses we shared the same values. He then said it doesn't make sense. Another question was why we allowed some to take pictures of us along the beach when I visited? She answered he is a friend who was with us because we needed a chaperone. That too didn't make sense in his ears. Our case was then DENIED. I have already contacted my senator's office and the reply they can't ask for second interview, but they will communicate with the embassy to know the reasons for denial and if it could be possible to schedule a second interview which I can be part of. For now its a sad moment, but am still hopeful  for our future because am  planning to extend( really costly on my part- work) my stay in Ghana and get married if its the last option before flying back to US. Thanks friends for your wonderful support during this process.

McBee got a reaction from Kay&Epi in How long to schedule a K1 interview in Ghana? (split)
This idea the embassy is so busy that's why it takes forever to mail packets is completely false. It's called inefficiency and reluctance on their part. The question is, is it the busiest consulate out there? No. When you look around all consulates around the world, this pattern in Ghana is never employed. Also not replying our emails when we inquire of our case about their busy schedule? Is just a mess
