  1. I've gotten a couple. The first one was for my petition. But it was because the USCIS change something and had to send out new paperwork to EVERYBODY.

My 2nd was because when I send for wife's adjustment of status so she can her green card I didn't include a copy of one of the NOA's from her visa process. They said they needed it so they know she went through the visa process. Umm... they gave her the visa. Wouldn't they know? Anyway, make sure you hold on to your NOA's. Best bet is to not throw anything.

  2. My fiance finally got her interview letter. It took longer than usual because she's in Japan but not a Japanese citizen. On Oct. 17th she recieved a letter asking for more information and the paper said it could take several more months!! We were so happy when she got her interview letter yesterday!! She should be here for Christmas. Its gonna be a very merry Christmas.... if you know what I mean... LOL!!!:dance::dance::dance:

  3. I received today the notice of approval through email...i really dont understand it...

how many times is our case approved?

my fiance called last october 18 informing me that our case has sent to NVC., and so happy cos we received our approval mail and our case number MNL2006*... last october 23. it was stated on that mail that this would be sent to the embassy where the fiancee lives in a week.

so what's the real score? i need a clarification bout the mail i received in my email, would it meant that it left the NVC to be sent to USEmanila??

    we're both excited now!

thanks to the info ive read here about other things :) wanna learn more...

It means the service center approved the petition... not the visa. The NVC will prepare your file and send it to Manila. Then, Manila will send you the infamous "packet 3" & "packet 4." After that you get the interview date and then you get to see your fiance. Its sounds like a lot to go but you're getting close!!! Good luck!!

  4. My fiance is getting her visa from the Embassy in Japan but she is not a Japanese national. She's a Korean and Filipino citizen. She just recieved her "Preliminary Interview From." Anybody know how much longer we have? I emailed the the embassy and asked what other steps we had left and asked for an approximate time frame but their answer didn't give us any details. Some info would be great. Thanks a lot!!

  5. My spouse is waiting in Japan for her interview. The problem is she's a Korean citizen. The embassy's website said it would take a lil longer if the beneficiary is a non-japanese national. Anybody have an idea how much longer it takes?

Hmm. Korean citizen from Japan whom you first met in person in the Philippines. I think that means your visa goes through China.

LOL!!! You're probably right. I better start calling China.

  6. Ok guys.. its crunch time. A lot of us got approved around the same time so I'm sure somebody out there can help and this can help a lot of other people.

What will my fiance need me to send her when she gets her packet from the embassy? I've already got my "I-134, Affidavit of Support" and the "Fiance Letter of Intent." Anything else?

I figured that a lot of the time between Packet 3 and the appointment is spent scrambbling around for all the paperwork. If you had it all together when you got the packet then you could just turn around and send it back completed and get your interview appointment.

    Thanks everyone! B)

  7. I must not have had enough coffee yet, cuz when I saw the title of this thread I was thinking about something else  Let's just say it brought back so many memories of our webcam days.

    Jackie

    Hahahah!! Pervert

We also played Yahoo games but I'd always beat her at pool so she didn't like that and she'd beat me at the word games so now we just talk.

I suggest Skype. Its free!! Woo hoo... that's the best part. You can talk to each other just like a phone call for nothing. The new version of Yahoo Messenger does it also but Skype is the original and I like the quality of the call better... plus the webcam works better on Skype. Almost every night I fall asleep talking to her.

Go through YouTube or simular sites and exchange links... then start them at the same time while talking on Skype and laugh together.

Webcams are always benificial... 'nuff said

Search for plane tickets for her flight here... gives you something to look forward to

  8. Yeah same here... the automated system said they didn't recieve my petition. Its pretty hard to get a hold of a real person there. They have this system that will hang up on you instead of putting you on hold if they're too busy. Best bet is to call around 11pm est. Thats the only time I got through... and I was so excited that when she asked me for my fiance's bday I gave her the wrong year. I can't believe the customer service person actually laughed at me... lol!! oh well.

It shouldn't take long so hang in there

  9. CSC approved our petition on July 31st. I finally got through to the NVC today and they said they recieved it August 7th. The asked me for Leila's birthday and I was so excited to finally reach somebody (I've been trying for a few days) that I gave her the wrong year. Hahaha... she said, "Um... no. (trying not to laugh and embarrass me) Is this Frank? What's your birthday?" Oh well... she said they'd have it there for 2-4 weeks but I see people on VJ that got it done in one day. I hope ours gets sent off to Tokyo soon. Hope everyone before IMBRA gets approved soon and good luck to everybody starting!

  10. I understand that there is a bar code system and that everytime the file is touched they scan a bar code and then the file updated date is changed. But, when do the touches stop? Does the NVC use the same system? Will it show touches while they work on it in the embassy??? Or is the Service Centers the only ones slutty enough to touch all of us??

  11. Me and my fiance are excited about our NOA2!! We were wondering what kind of questions they ask during the interview. Should I make some flash cards for her?? LOL. Just curious. If anyone could remember any questions they were asked then that would be great...

I know a lady who married her long time bf when his visa was about to expire and during the interview after being married for two years they asked them questions like: "What colors is her toothbrush?" "What side of the bed do you sleep on?" I thought that was great!! lol... but what happens if you really don't pay attention? OMG... what if you're color blind?!?!

  12. I just got touched after NOA2... what's that mean? I try calling the NVC but I always get put on hold and then eventually it hangs up on me. Do you think they sent it to Japan? Do they send you an email when they send it to the foriegn embassy or do they just send something in the mail? Hurry hurry hurry... we need a K1!!!
