Congrats on your interview. How long did it take from when you submitted the required documents for them to go over them and assign you an interview date?

From the time the NVC received our paperwork? About four months. The nvc review is one of the biggest bottlenecks, I think. Once they get to your paperwork and everything is in order, they will send it to the embassy of your interview (yours in Japan also?) and from there the embassy checks it but it's much quicker. Our interview was less than a month from the time Tokyo received the paperwork from nvc.
