Hi guys,
i just received a text that the Post Office delivered my new card so I went outside to check my mailbox and it was there. I am so happy when I open the envelope. It looks more beautiful than my old card. I like the color it has pink and greenish combination. I am so happy they didn’t ask me for RFE or interview. But I think they don’t ask for interview anymore they only ask for RFE. It took me 15 months since I file and received my card.

Hello everyone,
Just received a text today that my case is now updated. I immediately checked my case on my uscis tracker and it said new card is being produced. Finally after 15 months of waiting.

Mine also was transfer to Potomac on March 29 it’s almost 2 months since then.

Hi everyone,
I got my Conditional GC on Oct 2016. After we got married everything was going great. My husband have 3 kids from a previous marriage and they live in Florida with his ex-wife. Before we got married we agreed that he will relocate here in NY with me and he'll just travel back and forth to visit his kids and that's fine with me. I told him before we got married that I am not going to relocate to Florida so he agreed. Once we start living together in NY we start arguing almost everyday about almost everything. Last January he told me that he cannot live with me without seeing his kids every week. Now he asked me to move to Florida with him so he can see his kids every week. I told him that we talked about it already that it's not gonna happen because I'm not going anywhere. When I said no then he told me we should get a divorced. I was shocked. He knows that we're going to file jointly by next year. And he said he can't wait until 2018. And then he left to Florida. Since we got married I always do what he want and he always make broken promises. He doesn't have a good job so he always asked me for money especially for child support. Early this year I lost my job so I only work part time job and I'm the one who pay our phone bills and rent. I spoke to the Lawyer that I'm on Conditional Green Card and he said that I can't lose my green card even it I'm divorced I just have to proove that I enter the marriage in good faith. So I called my husband and told him that I think it's a good idea for us to get a divorced. I also learned that my husband went back to his ex-wife in Florida but I didn't tell my husband about it. I just told him that I went to Supreme Court and inquire about the divorced and I will go ahead and file it. He was shocked but he said ok. Then I told him I closed our joint bank account already which I am the primary account holder and I told him that I'm going to remove him from my phone bills because I don't have a job and I can't pay his phone bills anymore. He told me that I can't do that because we're still married we're just filing for divorced and I'm still his wife. He want me to remove him to my phone bills when our divorced is final. Becaue he doesn't want to pay his phone bills. He was upset and telling to my face that I am married to a US Citizen and I have to do whatever he want. I feel like he want to file jointly and wait till 2018 so I can still pay his phone! But before that he was like telling me to get a divorced and he has nothing to do with me on ROC. And I thought I can't file by myself. I just realized I can't live with him anymore and I cannot support him and his kids. I didn't tell my husband that I'm going to work at the Airport just waiting for my id. When I told him that I don't have a job and I can't pay his phone bill anymore he asked where do I get money to pay my phone? I told him it's none of your business anymore! Once I start working I will file for divorced. We have no children, no properties, no car, thnak God. My proofs and evidence are only Joint Income Tax, Joint Bank Account, Joint Phone Bills, Joint Credit Card Bills, Lots of Photos, Travel Itenerary, Letters with the same address, No house lease for this year since he left on January, Greeting Cards, No Health Insurance because he doesn't want to pay he said it's too expensive. When we file for AOS we told the IO that we tried to apply for Health Insurance but it's too expensive and we only show a letter from the Health Insurance. Is that enough evidence? I apply for my own Health Insurance and I was approved but I didn't tell him.

I received my GC last friday 9 days after the interview. The IO didn't say we were approved he just said interview is over we just wait from the mail. We were approved the same day. My GC indicate that I am Resident since 10/05/2016. Thanks God my waiting is over!

Me & my husband went for interview today at 12nn at Federal Plaza. Our lawyer got there earlier and he took all our original documents, my passport and my husband's driver's license. We waited for 45 minutes before we were called by an Asian IO. Our lawyer told me we need to know everything about each other. My husband told me to relax and not to get nervous. I was relaxed and confident that whatever the IO asked me I can answer it. What was funny was my husband was the one who are very nervous. The IO asked my husband who are the petitioner about our home address, my full name, my parent's name, & my present job. He answered all the questions but he missed the apt number on our address. Then the IO asked what's the apt number and he said 3 and it's 4 :-(, I can feel that he was very nervous. Then the IO asked me about my husband's birthday, I answered then looked at him and asked about my birthday but instead of saying my birthday he said his birthday! I was like OMG we're in trouble. Then the IO asked him what's my birthday! And he answered then the IO asked for photos and I put all the photo books and photo albums that we have on his table. But he said he just need one picture. I was like really?? And he didn't even look at the photos. I brought 5 photobooks & 2 albums. Then he checked & checked on the paper infront of him and asked me if I have been arrested etc. He didn't even asked where did we met. Then he print out a letter and gave it to us and said we'll receive a letter from the mail. The letter said our case was held for review. Outside the room our lawyer told us that he didn't think there's a problem. He said I should receive a letter saying Welcome to America. I wasn't really happy because we're not sure if we passed or not. Then after like 10 minutes I received a notification from USCIS that my status have changed. When I checked it said on oct 5, 2016, your new card is being produced, that's when my husband and I were so happy that we know that we passed! Before I was telling my husband that probably the IO noticed that he was nervous that's why we didn't get approved on the spot. So now I can go to sleep happy and I'll expect for the next notification that my card has been mail to me. Good luck to everyone that still waiting. I think prayers help a lot too!

Your doctor didn't give you a copy of his medical? My doctor gave me a copy and a sealed medical for USCIS.

I'm adjusting from visutor visa, awaiting for interview, we filed Nov 2015, it's been 8 months now, not sure where our case is. USCIS can't give me an answer. But my receipt number start with MSC. Didn't get any RFE, I placed a case inquiry they said our local field office will contact us within 90 days of this notice, email came from NBC. I read a lot of applicant approved without interview. I don't mind going to interview I just don't want to wait these long, my friend got her GC in 3 months!

So my lawyer file my AOS last Nov 16 and USCIS sent me a receipt Nov 24 from National Benefit Center. I'm from NY but I don't know where my lawyer file my case. So I assumed my case is in NBC. So I completed Biometrics, I got my EAD and SSN. So now I am waiting for schedule for interview. My case was stucked since March 11 that they are ready to schedule for interview, so I sent a Case Inquiry on line and they said expect a reply by June 13. I received a reply last friday July 22. They said my case is awaiting interview and my local field office will contact me when they are able to schedule the appointment and I should contact them if I don't hear from them after 90 days of this notice. The email came from NBC, Summit MO. So it means that if my lawyer filed my case in Chicago they move it to NBC? And if I'm going to interview they going to move it to NY Field Office? When they finally reply to my case inquiry my status changed to as of July 22, they are ready to schedule for interview. I tried to call NBC office and asked about my case but the guy who answered my call told me that I have to call USCIS number for AOS cases. He said NBC is for Adoption cases only. So I guess I just wait what's going to happen next. Hoping to get notification or email from USCIS in the next few weeks. What do you think is going on to my case?

Thanks for the link. I checked the AOS processing time in NY they are processing the Sept 2015 so I guess I would just wait for a couple of months.

Our AOS was file Nov 15 of last year in NYC and we were stucked on ready for interview status since March 11. When I called uscis they were telling me there's a backlog in NYC. It's been 7 months now and the last time I called uscis the lady told me I have to wait for another 4 months!! What do you guys suggest I should do? Thank you.

I have been staying in my hometown outside the US since March 2, I was planning to stay only for a month but due to the pandemic and the lockdown in our country I choose to stay in my country when I heard from the news that the virus in NY is growing so fast. And also my brother developed anxiety and depression because of this pandemic and I have to take care of him. I want to know if I can still go back to the US with my permanent green card without a problem. I’m not sure when I’m coming back, if it’s safe to go to US and if I found someone to stay with my brother then I’m coming back. I have read that I can stay for a year but not more than a year. Is this true?
