Hi everyone. So, I just tried to check my case status online and the receipt number I've been using for the last few months is now no longer working! I also tried calling in and entering it via phone, only to be told the same thing - receipt number is not valid. I managed to speak to someone at USCIS, who confirmed that he doesn't show anything either. He recommended that I speak to an immigration officer and I left my number for a callback.

Has this happened to anyone else ???

Mine still frozen in "Fingerprint fee received on June 20"

  2. I'm in the same boat.  My PD is June 14, Fingerprints fee received 6/20.  I submitted a Service Request on 12/12.  On January 17 I received an answer

"USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. Your local USCIS Field Office will contact you once they are able to schedule the appointment. Should you not be contacted by your local USCIS Field Office within 90 days of this notice, please contact customer service at the number provided below." They have until 4/17/2017 to schedule an interview.

So, it has been forever, and I find myself very stressed about it, so I need to share this with you and maybe get my spirit quieted a little.

I submitted my I-485 in June, got an appointment for fingerprints and etc. In August we got an RFE because apparently there weren't enough tax returns in the package, so we just sent all the possible tax return available to us.

Since then, silence, I called, mailed. nothing. The website reports:

It has been a very long time, and I am just getting overly anxious, because it's now 7 months we have been waiting >:

    Any good word?

    Good morning Pomegranate,

I'm a June filer too and still waiting, I never received RFE or anything. Last thing was Fingerprints appointment on July.  On December 12, I submitted a Service Request, according to an email I received, I should of hear an answer before 12/29. My Inquiry wasn't assigned to an officer until 1/17/2017.

    Their answer

My local office is Houston, they still processing January 2016. My case online still "Fingerprint fee Received"

  4. Hi, ROSA63, I filed one too minutes ago, and is expecting a reply by January 6, 2017. Have you considered contacting a local congressman at the same time? I want to do so, but my husband said we should wait not to irritate the USCIS.

Hello yourtyoga, No I haven't consider that. I'll wait till January 3, if I don't get a satisfactory answer then I would contact the congressman. Hopefully our cases would be solved before this year ends. :goofy:

  5. hi there,

i am kinda in the same boat as you. i applied aos thru a vwp and overstayed 4 years and 4 months... my interview is on dec. 1st and am also worried about the thought of being deported... but my husband always says we will be fine, we`ve been married almost 5 years..

Don't you worry about it. My brother overstay his visa 15 years. He adjusted from B1/2 Visa in June 2013, he had his interview on 9/11/2013, was approved right there. Received his GC 10 days later.

    Good luck to both!

  6. Checked my Case again and... whoowho

  7. Ohio here! Cleveland GO TRIBE!!!!

My wife just received her green card yesterday in the mail, you can check my time line.

Our case was untouched for months and all of a sudden on the 14th things started to happen.

We got a RFE for proof of marriage on the 14th.

Sent in evidence on the 15th

Got a text saying were approved on the 19th while we were on our honeymoon sitting on our ocean front balcony at night drinking in myrtle beach!

Got home on the 22nd and had I-797 hard copy waiting for us and got a text saying your card is being made!

Received green card yesterday in the mail! :dancing: No interview  !

Yes you do need to renew it in your native country but my wife found out that you can send it in the mail to England for a fee and they will send you your new passport and the old one back, it takes about 4 weeks! My wife's passport expires this December so she is doing this as we speak!

Good luck to you and everyone else!

Congratulations crazyworld, you really need lots of patience, I'm a June filer I haven't received any updates on my I485, it's been stuck on Fingerprints received since 6/20/2016. I hope November would be my lucky month...!

  8. Is our local field office the one that process our i485? Is it determined by where you live?

Got my EAD card and AP beginning of last month but i130 and i485 still havent moved a bit since they received the case ><

Was wishing i can have interview in Nov and travel back to my country on Dec,

    (Living in Houston TX)

Thanks for everyone's help in advance!

    Hello,

I'm in Houston TX too. I'm a June filer my case is stuck on fingerprint fee received. There's a backlog in the Houston office, they are processing November 2015 :clock:

  9. Did you apply for EAD/AP?

    Hello Tara0921,

I didn not filed EAD/AP at the time I filed my AOS. I thought it wasn't necessary because usually AOS takes 3 to 4 months, and the EAD takes 3 months. According to Immigration Officer I spoke to; he said "Due to the elections USCIS is receiving more applicants for Naturalization than usual, they are giving priority to process those applications before the elections."

I just filed my EAD/AP the first week of September. I still have hope to get the AOS interview before this year ends.

  10. Hi!

Im so sad. I received my green card last week and today I went to the Social Security office to get my SS card. The lady said my green card is wrong, I almost fainted. TURNS OUT...they put the wrong date in Residence since.

Im so upset...Has this happen to anyone else here? It says i can take up to a year for a replacement.

I'm sorry to hear that....In fact a couple of weeks ago, I read somewhere on the forums someone had the same issue, I remembered the person mentioned that they got an infopass to request a correction.

  11. OK so I call USCIS to ask about my AOS case for the first time, and the person that took my call was very nice.

She explained each local office has their own processing times and that the Tampa office is processing right now cases from January 23!!! That means they are taking 8 months!!

She said that if my case has taken more than that processing time I should do an Electronic Inquiry.

This means that since I am only about to reach the 5 month waiting period I still need to be patient for 3 more months. Does that sound right to you guys? OMG!!

    Hi Jannina,

That's exactly what I was told when I called. My local office is Houston they are working on November's cases.

  12. Ok so I haven't been around checking the forum because I started getting worried about people that filed after me and have had their AOS already approved.

My case has been stuck in "Fingerprint fee recieved" since june 4, eventhough my package was filed on May 31st and has a receipt date of June 6th.

When I look into 200 cases around mine, the I-485 ones have gone from 20 still in "fingerprint fee recieved Status" to only 12, me included. The last movement on cases was on October 6th.

I have tried to get busy with work so I don't think much about this but I am startind to get restless. I haven't called USCIS because I don't want to add to my stress.

I am adjusting from a K1 Visa and maybe this means that my interview might be waived, but if it isn't how much more time should I wait until I seriously get worried about my case status not changing?

Is anyone else in this same situation?

I filed a week later. My case hasn't changed at all. Still on fingerprint fee was received. Last updated 7/24/2016. I don't expect my interview be waived cause I'm adjusting from a B2 visa. Who knows, I might get lucky.

  13. Hi Guys!

Im very happy..today I received the approval notice for permanent residence. I had gotten the EAD/AP approval two weeks ago but I never got the EAD card. Do you guys think it got lost or they didn't send it because the green card was approved.

    Thanks in advance :)

Congratulations a green card is all you need, don't worry about EAD. My case still on fingerprints received.
