Hello everybody !! i have some questions my husband and me we alredy get IV send and paid we are just waiting for the DS230-7988 , is it the same thing as the package of instructions?, do you know how long it take to arrive the DS230-7988???

I will save u some time. U don't have 2 wait 2 get it in the mailbox. keep calling nvc and checking if they received the payment u mailed them. Is it ok if I fill out the form and than print out? Has anyone done that? As they mention that we should only use the form they send us, and not download off the Internet, this way it would be clear that I didn't use their form. The reason I want to do that is because some info (like addresses) on page 1 might need to be changed, so I'll have my husband (the agent) print it out with correct info, and I am going to just mail him the page which needs a signature in advance. Also, can anyone explain, why they advice to select an agent in the US, but DS230 still has to be signed by me, thus theoretically no avoing mailing back and forth? Thanks for your input!

You can print the official forms from the internet with no problems. Mail is more reliable in the U.S. and much quicker. Which documents have you submitted already? If you still have forms to send in, I can maybe assist. Have you downloaded the bar code sheets and other forms? You can send them in without having to wait for them to be delivered. There is more information then this, however if you are interested ask me exactly what you want to know and I will respond back.

Just tried calling the DOS to check on whether we have an interview date yet. When I get to the option to speak to a representative and click 0 for operator, I get a message stating the office is closed today. To call back between 830 am and 530pm except for federal holidays. Am I so out of it to not know whether today is a holdiday or not?

Quick question regarding the creation of the AOS Fee Bill -- specifically, it's about creating the barcode to paste into the MS Word document....

The shortcut does not specify what the "Data to encode" should be. The default setting isjust "12345678912" --- please tell me what this number should be or if it should be changed at all????

Yes, you are right. Make a photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographical page. If you are sending it to NVC and your interview is in Manila, Send DS 230 part 1 and part 2, however do not sign part 2 until you are at the Embassy in front of the Consular officer. Mike.
