  1. yea, I knew only the civil surgoen has the right to transfer it into what we need for AOS. What I'm trying to do now is to either find a surgoen who would accept insurance pay ( which is very tough to find, all the surgoens I called do not take that. ), or I'm finding some free shots at family doctor, who will take the pay from insurance company, and then I will take the vaccination result to a civil surgoen just to have him sign it and transfer it into I-693 for AOS, therefore they will not be able to charge me for the shots but only for the signing for a i-639, which costs , i dunno how much, but I believe it's much cheaper than having shots without insurance cover and pay them by cash.

Dose this make sense, will this work??

    thxxx

  2. Would it be possible that we find a family doctor to give us the shots ( for non-immigration purpose), so the insurance company would take the pay?? And then we will have a civil surgoen to just sign the worksheet for the shots and transfer it into i-693? cause it seems that insurance company is not willing to take the pay only because it's for immigration purpose. any advise? thanks!

That's what I did. I took my tetanus shot in my student health center, and I gave the proof of the shot to my civil surgeon.

yea, maybe for student it's fine, I really don't know if it works the same for me.

  3. Thank you guys. You do ease my worries.

I was not deported, hehe. I didn't stay there intentionally, only that if I stayed there it would be easier for my boyfriend to visit me. Well, it turned out to be trouble for us now. But thanks to your information, I think we still have a fat chance getting the visa. We applied k1 right before I left canada. ( My canadian visa was good for more than 2 years). I was there for nearly 3 years and my bf visited me 5 times in total, before we filed for k1, he visited me 3 times in a row. And we have this relationship even more than 3 years. I hope the visa officer would be able to understand this and don't make a big deal out of my overstay in other country. We are just 20 something, first marriage. But if for any unexpected reason they want to reject me, it could be an good excuse, so they can bar me for a reason. I know it's their job to be strict but I do hope they have some compassion. It's already very tough for us being apart while deeply in love.

Yea, I'm gonna obtain the police certificate from canada. I didn't have any criminal records. I hope this would not be any trouble. Cuz I know I need this at the interview. Even though US consulate will know my overstay, I will have to be honest, cause me and my bf met in person in Canada, most evidences we have are from the life in canada. Besides, they'll have my passport. Hehe.

Anyways, Best Luck to ya all.

  4. Thank you all for your kindness. I think US side knows/ will know my overstay in canada cuz my boyfriend visited me many times when I was in canada and we never hide anything. We just wanna be honest and keep it simple. We're just ordinary people who want to be together and settle down since we've having this relationship for couple of years.

Ill try my best at the interview for I believe we deserve being together ( yes, China consulate is pretty slow, but we must be patient and respect their work.)

Wish you all the best on this journey

    Ah

  5. I knew that. That's why I asked what I asked. Thanks

Police Cert. is a name check .. it does not involve fingerprints. And if you knew already it's a police certificate you need why are you asking "Police certificate or crinimal record?" Your Welcome :)

Oh, I guess the more I read more confused I got. I think there must be something I read misled me.

So I just decided to post my questions here. A very efficient way to find my answer! Thank you

  6. Is the Police Cerificate & Criminal record the same thing?

Since I lived in the third country before, I will need to obtain a police certificate from them. Im confused about what I've read. It says the police certi for US consulate is based on name check but not fingerprint check. What on earth do I need exactely for my interview and all? Police certificate or crinimal record?

    Thanks

  7. How do I obtain that then? I mean the police certificate from the third country. thx

Packet 3 asks your Fiancee to assemble the following documents:

    * Valid passports for the beneficiary and any dependent children.

    * Birth certificates for the beneficiary and any dependent children.

    * Proof of termination of any prior marriages.

    * A police certificate from the current place of residence of the beneficiary, as well as from any place or places of residence for 6 months or more since attaining the age of 16.

    * Police certificate(s) for any dependent children over 16

    Is that all?

  8. Note: about the police certificate whae they say "place of residence they mean" Countries. So if you have lived in the same country since age 16 but have moved around the country, you only need police certificate from where you live now.

If you lived in other countries you will need certificates from the other countries as well.

Excuse me, I'm still confused at this point.

For instance, I'm a chinese citizen holding a chinese passport. What if I stay in another country out of China for a year or so on a student or business visa. Now I'm back to China for good. Do I need the police certificate from that country? I don't seem to have anything to do wiht it, do I? Just want some solid info. Cuz I'm expecting package 3 too, wanna prepare everything in advance if necessary.

    Thank You
