I mean why can't we talk to a "case worker?" The best we get is a "Customer Service Rep" at a 1-800-number! It's our petitions and our tax dollars that pay for it all, so why can't we find out the status of our own damn case! Why can't we reach a Service Center directly? These people are so untouchable that we cant' talk with them? We should be treated as individuals like the Department of State website claims! The best we get is a short, vaguely written Public Notice! It has taken 10 weeks for my case to be "reopened" after the "recall." It's beyond me why it needed to take that much time! I think I should be able to talk to the person (if it is a single person) handling my case. Why are they and the process they take so hidden?

According to the scanned IMBRA RFE and the USCIS definition almost any website can be considered a "marriage broker." Basically, it says that if you paid to simply be able to contact someone, then it's considered marriage brokering. If one was to answer "Yes" to using a marriage broker... could it add somehow to further processing time? Who knows? No one knows! I just want to make sure I have the shortest processing time possible. I also feel I should be completely truthful on these forms. I met my fiance on Latinamericancupid.com. Does anyone have any thoughts or clues?

Can someone help me, please!
I am new to this site. My fiancé and I are in that same waiting period as many here seem to be in. Our case was recalled just as she had gathered all her paperwork for the interview in Lima, Peru. It has been almost two months since she received that packet.
What does "touched" mean?
How do some of you get emails from CIS or wherever?
Is there anything I can be doing besides "waiting?"

Vaccines from Peru to the US?
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
Can anyone help with this...
My fiance is coming to the US from Peru. Her interview is in 8 days! She went to get her Medical Exam today as per the requirements. The office told her to come back for vaccines. No one told her which vaccines and how many and how much each would cost! They just say "bring cash." Crazy! Are they just trying to make money? Wouldn't the US Embassy have in writing exactly what would be required to come to live in the US? Wouldn't there be a list of any required vaccinations? Has anyone here come from Peru to live in the US and what did you have to go through?
