  1. In my case they gave me NOA 1/ NOA 2 that comes from USCIS and the Ciudad Juarez was a letter with my case number and letting me know that I could set an appointment... this "invitation" is the only one that came from the Ciudad Juarez Consulate and you do need the original to the CAS biometric appointment, medical and Consulate... Check if your fiancee have received it at home... My husband (USC) didn't receive it, it was me in Mexico the only one who received the invitation letter and just after that I set my appointment....

    Hi Lotofdoubts,

Do you mind posting a copy of that invitation letter here?

I just really need to see the list of documents they want you to bring. I know I can get the invitation letter there at the information window, but I just want to make sure I have all my documents before we go since Ciudad Juarez is pretty far from us.

    I would really appreciate that.

    Thanks

  2. Hi fellow Visa people,

I am in need of a huge favor. My Fiancees interview is next week at the Ciudad Juarez Embassy , but still have not received the invitation letter. I have followed this list located https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdf, but I am hoping someone can post a copy of their invitation letter to compare and see if I have not missed anything.

    I really appreciate that.

    Thank you so much.

  3. Any Mexican filler in this group??? I would like to know whats the waiting time to get an interview at the Consulate in Cd. Juarez?... Thank you :)

Hi. So this is what I did to make the process faster. Once I knew that my case was at Ciudad Juarez, I kept calling the embassy daily at 1.703.249.4628 until they told me I can schedule an appointment. They also helped me set up my account at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv. Towards the end of the setup, they said there were no available dates and to call in a few days. So what I did was check every hour and I was able to get an interview date the same day.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Hey I got my NOA2 Aug 4th and the NVC received my case Aug 12 but they gave me the case number Aug 15.

I don't know what happen but I checked the status on line using the case number to see if they mail it to the embassy.

and the status since Monday is "AT NVC" I've seen cases sent next day to the embassy after case number.

if they don't send it I can't not make any appointment. The doctor told me that in order to make an appointment for the medical we need to give him the interview date.

I was happy because my case moved faster until arrived to NVC. if they assigned a case number they should sent it ASAP to the embassy.

I'm in the same position. They received my case last Thursday and so far still at NVC.

  5. From what I gathered, a person can file DS-160 but can't schedule an interview until Consulate tells you to do so, and he can't do a medical without the confirmed interview date. Some experienced members might be able to give you more accurate information. I think because you only filed one I-129F for the principal and your future step son doesn't have his own petition, so until he applies for AOS he won't have his own A number.

    Hey NAT2016,

That sounds about right for my stepsons K2 visa. From what I have been reading as well, he does not get it until he files AOS.

As for my Fiances, I will do her forms once I get home :D. Excited to finally jump over this obstacle.

  6. Hi,

Just wanted to jump on the band wagon for May 2016 filers. This is my current position in the process the K-1 Visa.

I spoke to several representatives on the USCIS customer support line and they said to just follow the checklist. If anything goes wrong they will send a RFE. I will keep everyone updated and nice meeting you all. Hopefully we all get a speedy process through this journey.
