  1. Hi. I will be straightforward to you.

HER: Married is a RED FLAG FLYING OVER MOSCOW AND CAN BE SEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD. So stop.

YOU: I presume free and single. Ergo? Find someone the same. Why would you complicate your life? How sure are you that she won’t leave you at the smallest sign of trouble when you two eventually marry? Do you really KNOW her? Her heart? Her spirit? Her character?

Now, for WHAT YOU HAVE IN MIND:

    1. If you decide to pursue you should be ready for MONTROUS consequences (spiritual or otherwise). Whatever is your faith or whether or not you

do, life is a circle of river flowing around. What goes around comes around.

    2. If you decide to pursue here are the legal steps that you should do:

    (and they are NOT easy)

    a. She must sever her marriage legally and this can only be done in the Philippines since she is not a US citizen there yet (given she just

    recently arrived)

    b. There is no divorce here in the Philippines, only ANNULMENT. The time and money it costs is horrendously gross.

    c. The ANNULMENT process, like the Divorce, OUGHT TO HAVE a response from the partner. If he is willing good, if not, you are in for more

trouble and HEARTBREAK. After all the money invested by his husband for her just to be able to get her there is simply an investment not

too easy to be chalked up by this guy as bad debt. I am pretty sure he’s going to make it difficult at the very least, if and when he

considers the idea of letting her go.

    d. Did she have a job here in the Philippines BEFORE she was taken to be there with her husband in the United States? Your response

here (yes or no) will have another set of response from me.

    3. If you decide to pursue, what assurance do you have that this woman will continue to be strong for both of you as you going through the process

of getting her to become your wife legally? You see, to me what she is doing now is so loud I can not hear what she is saying… if you get my drift.

I am from the Philippines by the way. Get back to me for any questions.

READ READ READ THE ABOVE RESPONSE! Man don't mess up.... but if you are really REALLY that so much in love with each other, I think it is best for her to be honest to her RECENT husband (who by the way spend money for her visa to come) that she is not in love with him. As in, let him know ASAP! Give a little respect to the man! After that she can pack up and go back to our country (I'm from 'pinas too to let u know) so you two can start your love affair. Don't cheat naman!!!!

  2. was reading some post and it bothers me when i read about their passport had stamped on after interview(I-551 somethinglike that)... now i'm wondering why our passport has no stamp on it???? Does everyone get stamp on their passport? Our interview was too quick just asked me the name of my parents, then some yes/no questions and if it was my signature. After that, he ask what do we have that shows both our names on, he just took the joint account statement, then he photocopied our passports and took our I-94. Then he discussed about applying for the 10 yrs GC and becoming US citizen after 3 years. Then he told us to just wait 2-4 weeks for our GC, umm he actually didn't even ask proofs for my daughter since she was also their for her AOS. Though we gave to him the finalized adoption and the new birthcertificate... Are we really OK now by just taking the interviewers word that we are approved? ...gesssshhh this stamp thing got me confused really...can someone clarify this for me please.. thanks!

  3. Jup1ter and Cecy the 3 of us are on the same boat. I never heard anything from USCIS after I received my EAD on September. My NOA date is Jul 5th, too frustrating since no update no nothing even RFE. My online status is just RECEIVED and PENDING no transfer to any local office or whatsoever.

Tonight I filed for an INFOPASS for February 15 at 8am in Fairfax. So far I got a job but we can't move if we do not have GC. VA DMV is really strict, they wont issue you a state id, drivers learners permit. Wahhhhhh!!!

    this is so sad...

me too, I applied for a state ID but I was refused coz as to them, I need to adjust my status.

hmm that's weird because I was able to get my state id right away when I got here in US. Just gave them my passport, MC, BC and my hubby's driver's license. I wasn't able to get my driver's temporary permit right away though since they require for my SSN and we're on K3 so I waited for my EAD first, have everything done now though.

  4. Hello! I think you should use your wife's maiden name when filling tax return specially if you will file it electronically. If you use her married name then it won't jive with her SSN and that will automatically rejected thru electronic file. I remember this thing during my training for a tax preparer... and I got this site for you, please click it so you'll be confident more to file as what it says: (read on #1.10 question)

  5. just an update since i responded to this post the other day... I already got our interview appointment letter today in the mail & our big day will be on January 29, 2008. by the way weare k3/k4 v-holder just dont know how to change status here in vj. good luck hope u receive ur approval soon (better than appointment interview letter hehehe)

  6. They said it will take 1-4 weeks for my SSN card to arrived because they need to verify something with my status from the DHS. In the system it shows that my EAD is in my maiden name while it is obviously on my married name already in the card. Weird but that's the way it is so i'll just have to wait. Anyway, they assigned me a # and gave me a letter that I can show to a prospect employer in case i wanted to work already. My daughter's SSN card arrived after 1 week of application.

  7. Kadamo ta ngay-an dinhi it mga WARAY! I grew up in Eastern Samar, stayed in Bohol, and Manila before i got here in US to finally live forever with my husband. Therefore I knew Waray (estihanon/Eastern), Boholano/Cebuano, & Tagalog.

"Langgam" - Tagalog (Ant in English) = (Amigas in Bisayan) = (Tubak in Waray-Estihanon)

"Langgam" - Bisayan (Bird in English) = ( Ibon in Tagalog) = (Tamsi in Waray-E.)

  8. During SLEC medical exam. your wife will be asked for her immunization records but if she doesn't have it's ok. The doctor will indicate which vaccines she needs and she has an "OPTION" to have the vaccination in US after she give birth. SLEC will still give her the immunization record form with the comment of her condition during her medical examination. As far as i remember, they asked me to sign a consent and on behalf of my petitioner so they can take an X-ray exam, knowing i was pregnant (it did not harm my baby though).

For the interview, it would be so wise to send your wife a notarized letter stating that it is your child because USEM is too strict and doubtful. Good luck!

  9. hi everyone. i checked on the US Embassy website about all the requirements for the tourist visa interview...but i cannot find the papers or forms on applying for a tourist visa. i mean what should be the first step of it. i hope i get an answer to my question. thank you.

Wonder if you read this part: (please click on the link)

    http://philippines.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv1.html

It has 3 steps to follow. Hope this will help you, good luck!

  10. You don't need to do fasting rather you need to eat a lot cuz u'll get hungry from waiting. Take your medical exam a month or weeks earlier than your schedule so you'll have allowance time in case something unexpected comes up with the result of your exam. And if you're just within Metro Manila better do it on afternoon cuz it's not that too busy already and you won't wait too long.

I am within the Manila area. I thought it is better to do it in the morning? What do u think is the best time? Thanks in advance :)

had my medical exam last month. for my own experienced, you should go early. as in early in the morning. because lately there's a lot of patients in SLEC. for my 2nd day of medical i've waited almost 12 hours just for my shots and x-ray film. good luck

no fasting required. i suggest eat alot or bring snacks with you

That is exactly the point, medical exam takes 2 days because the immunization shots are given the next day. If you are trying to save time, and don't want to get bored waiting too long be there at 1:30 PM in your first day, lesser people and less time to wait, no need of waking up too early and waiting up to when they open up. Possible they will ask you to come back for an afternoon appointment for the 2nd day, so being there at 3 PM won't hurt your butt just sitting and waiting.

When you plan to go for an earlier than scheduled medical exam, make sure that it wont be a busy day/week like probably holiday is coming up. Thursday & Friday worked well on us (daughter and i).

    Good luck!

  12. The biggest reason I can think of her getting approved faster is BECAUSE of the age situation. The FBI namecheck may have gone through faster and the age may have pushed it along 10% quicker. We shall see, yours should be following soon I would think!

   Just checked my email tonight a minute earlier and have mail waiting for me from CHRIS and it says: Case Status: Card production ordered!!!!   It was ordered on October 12th, but just received the email update now.

bradcanuck, that's what i thought too cuz i remember during my fingerprints, i saw on the screen saying 53 matches :blink: Thank you for posting a response about my concern. God Bless!

  13. Hi everybody,

Just wondering if my case is normal, we are K3/K4 visa holder and we filed for our AOS and EAD last July 27th, had our biometrics yesterday October 10th. Prior to biometrics i can't add our case #s in my portfolio in the uscis.gov site, so i thought it might have something to do with our biometrics and yes today i tried to add it an it was a success! BUT when i checked the status i got surprised because my daughter a 3 y.o. EAD status is already "card production ordered" and mine is still the same as what the NOA1 says. Why is it that my daughter's EAD is already approved and mine is not? Just a little confused and worried. :help::help::help::wacko: Anyone with the same situation as mine here?

That is interesting and I'm sorry but I don't have an answer. Just wondering though why you applied for EAD for your 3 y.o.? Since you filed before the fee changed, you would have had to pay for her EAD application separately. It's something that people normally don't apply for children below working age.

    Hi _xplain',

Well to answer your question on why we applied for my daughter's EAD that's because we wanted to get an SSN and we can't get it without EAD/GC. Obtaining EAD is faster than GC as what we learned so we filed for it in hoping that we can also apply for SSN the soonest possible time. I knew that my daughter doesn't need EAD since she is only 3 and can't work yet, i suggested that we should just wait for her GC to save some $$$ but my husband insisted, so we filed EAD for SSN purposes. I hope my explanation answered your curiousity.

I guess i'll just patiently wait 'til INS approve my EAD, am not in a hurry to work anyway, but we are in a hurry to apply for our SSN  .

  15. Go to the DFA and claim your passport before u go to the CFO Manila (in Citigold Tower) because you need to have a visa first before you can have the stamp/sticker. DFA just need to see that you already attended the CFO guidance and counselling seminar. So after ur interview at embassy and once you got ur visa, you can go to the CFO Manila to get a sticker which they will put it in your passport.

  16. Umm i may seem dumb but i just want to make sure everything is right so i still post here about my concern, and I also read others post and answers said that the instruction says send to Chicago lockbox but i am a little confused if the below addresses are just the same?

    I-485 : U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    P.O. Box 805887

    Chicago, IL 60680-4120

    I-765 : USCIS

    P.O. Box 7218

    Chicago, IL 60680-7216

Please help me clarify this and I will appreciate so much all your answers to my post. Thanks!

  17. We had our K1 denied before too for the reason that our relationship is not bonafide (perhaps due to lack of evidence and i wasnt able to explain well how genuine our relationship), but after 3 years we filed again for another K1 then, since the IMBRA took effect we couldn't wait anymore so we decided to get married while our K1 seats on the CSC office...that's what we wanted anyway to get married and be united together forever. After 5 days i received an email from USCIS that our K1 was approved exactly 1 day after we got married... But anyway, we filed for the withdrawal of our K1 and filed for K3, everything went smoothly. Before the interview, we gathered all the evidences we could have to prove that our marriage and relationship is genuine. Our interview went so well that the K1 before did not hinder our approval since this time we have all the evidences to prove that it's not for immigration purposes only but it's true love and all we wanted is to live together.

So, if i were you since the VSC approved again your petition, gather everything you can have to prove to the consulate that it's a true relationship and marriage. Your wife presence will also help a lot during interview.

  18. Hi to all,

Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for including me in your prayers. My daughter and I arrived here in the USA just yesterday. Interview went so smoothly and it was a very quick interview. During the pre-screening hubby and the filipino interviewer had a nice small talk about hubby's height :D, he asked the primary documents required from me & daughter then, only the I-134, 2006 Form 1040, and copy of divorce decree. When he started asking snail mails, emails pictures and showed to him all what we got he already said the email was already enough and just our wedding picts hehehe  (i was too prepared and have lots of evidences since 1st - 5th visit of my hubby dear really lots of docs to present) He also looked on our previous K1 application and about our flight itinerary which was July 06 already. he said he is afraid that it might not be possible that we can have our visa right away (considering it will be a holiday the next day July 04), then told us to have our seats and wait for the final interview... just after a real few minutes our # flashed on the monitor and we went to room #28. I was nervous but glad that my hubby is there with me so i feel confident plus my lil daughter helps a lot... gesshh kids really have this special natural karisma. The consul was very nice and not so strict, she just asked a few question and my hubby and i already knew we are approved since she right away said that she cant guarantee yet that we can have our visa right away but all she can do is give us the pink stub so we can pick up the visa and asked my # so embassy will just call us when it is already ready. Our interview ended very very nicely with my daughter's sweet goodbye to the consul and vice versa. We waited for their call on July 5 up to 11 AM then we decided to go to the embassy instead of calling to ask for a follow up and then we waited until 1 PM until Window X opens. They told us that our papers still needs the sign of release from the consul and told us to just wait and if 30 min passed without an action yet we should call their attention. So we waited and then finally they called us and went to Window 34 and from there we were told that it still needs the signature from the releasing officer and the normal process for them after the consul sign, it will be forwarded to the releasing department and it takes 1 day before it could be done, but the man told us that they will do the best they can to have it signed and be released within the day. We also told him that we still need to go to CFO office for the stamp so we need it before the CFO office closes, We waited a lil longer and finally at 3:30+ we got our visa...   . I right away went to CFO office and had our passport stamped and it cost me 400 only to have the stamp for my daughter alone since i already have the certificate of counselling and as far as i remember on 2003 the cost was 250 something only. Gesshhh saved a lot!

We had a nice flight to Japan and at the Detroit POE we were sent to their office because our petition will already expire since we postponed our interview before and since we right away picked-up the visa i think the embassy weren't able to notice the expiration. The POE officers were nice and good thing i have our lil daughter helps a lot to lessen my tension, one officer started talking to her and said they all like babies in their office and she gave her juice and biscuit... yummm  And finally we arrived safely in my dear hubby's nest ;)

Again Thank you so much for all your prayers. ( Arranging our flight right away somehow helped us to have our visa too soon).

by the way, the consul said that she does so much appreciates it when the petitioner comes during interview because it helps a lot when it comes to explaining. Good luck to all those who will have their interviews soon. Prayers helps a lot! God bless!
