  1. Hello all,

My wife and I are working on the AOS papers and had a quick question we're hopefully someone can assist us with. This is our first time filing for anything and we're a little confused if the I-765 requires the fee. We did read there was recently an increase in the cost however we're unsure if we are required to pay this.

A little more information: my wife came here from the Philippines on a K1 Visa. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and Happy New Year!

  2. Thank you, both! Just double-checking :) Fiancee arrives late at night on Halloween. I was really hoping her first day in US would be for Halloween Day to make her think every day in America involved dressing like superheroes and getting candy (one can dream).

My fiancee doesn't have any medical issues either. Looks like we're all set.

    Thanks again for the help!

  3. Hello,

Quick question: What items are needed at POE? Is there anything my fiancee is missing?

    -Visa

    -Passport

-The infamous "do not open" packet

    -Medical records

Are there any other requirements? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My apologies, this is for a K1 Visa.

  5. Hello,

My fiancee had her interview back in August. The interview went very well with the lone exception being that they needed a CENOMAR re-verification as the copy she had "wasn't clear." She retrieved another copy that same day and had it sent to the embassy. It took about 3 weeks to go from Administrative Processing to Ready where it has been since September 8th. I know the CEAC website where it says to check back after 2 business days is more of a form letter, but is a week stuck at Ready normal for this situation?

Everyone we have spoken to has only been able to give us the information that the passport is still at the Embassy which isn't too much information at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if there was a number where we could get information on our specific case. Our emails and phone calls haven't gotten much back :)

  6. How long does it typically take for Packet 3 to arrive from the Manila Embassy? It has been 11 days for us and my fiancee hasn't received anything yet. Just want to check in if it might still be on its way and we're impatient or if it's time to contact the Embassy.

  7. I met my fiancee on Wordpress. We didn't include any Terms and Conditions. My guess is if the site is not well known or sounds like it could be an IMB then you're better off sending the Terms and Conditions. Otherwise, it's probably not necessary.

You're better off including it anyway. I assume you'll be fine though. In the part where you mention how you two met, just be very specific as in "We met on Omegle on (DATE) and then began talking blah blah blah."

  8. I have not yet received anthing form the NVC or the Embassy that is why I was concerned. I got the MNL # and called the embassy and here we are with an interview in 2 weeks. Just surprised me with the speed after the slow process too date. Figured their had to be a catch.

Mailing from the Manila Embassy seems to take about a week or so (from what I've read on others' experiences). You should hopefully get everything you need in the mail this week. It's not as complicated of a process as our neurotic minds let it seem, is it?
