  1. Who was not in AP? Recently everybody in in AP....

I know right lol I think it also depends on the consulate. some seems to be faster than others

My hubby's interview was on 08/11/16 & it went into AP too but it changed to "issued" yesterday. We just received an email that is has been mailed. I would make sure he checks his email just in case....

    Good Luck!!!

Thank youuu! congrats to you and your hubby. the wait is over fro you guys :-)

  2. Thanks mimolicious for your response. does it matter if you've been approved and there was no additional documents requested?

our case still says ready for interview and we got the visa last year and he has been here since September 2015

whoever updates the sites is about as good as a robot

some get updated fast / some not at all

just be glad he was approved and wait / we got visa in hand in 2 weeks after approval

Ohhhhhhh I see. Phewww I was starting to worry, since I've seen people posting about getting their visas within days after getting approved. I'll definitely keep this in mind.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi All,

I'm kind of preoccupied now regarding my hubby's case. Hubby's interview was 2 weeks ago (August 2nd), he was approved and the CO said they will call him to come pick up his passport. his case still shows AP when I look on CEAC today and they haven't touched this case since August 3rd, I'm worried because I don't know why it's taking so long fro his visa to be issued. Does anyone has advice regarding this issue?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi All,

Congrats to everyone that was approved and to everyone that has interviews scheduled. to those that are still waiting do not worry, you will get your interview dates very soon.

  5. Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing great! Hubby had his interview on the 2nd and the CO told him everything is fine and they will call him to come pick up his passport. so the case says AP on CEAC. yesterday I check and it seems like they touched the case, however it still in AP this morning. I'm kind of worried now. How long do cases stay in AP if everything was fine at the interview?

  6. I think Hubby is Approved! He was There for almost 3 hours, the interview itself was less than 10 mins. He was asked the following question by a very pleasant CO:

    - Where does your wife lives

    - Is she a US citizen? How long has she been living in the US

    - How did you meet?

    - When did you get married?

    - what field does she work in?

    - Do you work here? what field are you in

Then she looked at my taxes and said that I didn't meet the income limit for 2015 (I only work for 4 months in 2015, I had added a letter in my file explaining that), then hubby told her that I started my new Job in August 2015 and therefore the 2015 Taxes didn't reflect my full income, he then told her that I sent her all my pay stub from January til now. She asked to see them and kept them and told him that it's more than sufficient o meet the income limit, so we don't need a co-sponsor. She asked him when did he do the medical because she didn't have that in his files, he told her July 2nd and he told her that the medical center had called him last week to inform him that the result were sent to the consulate. She then told him that they probably have it in the receive box at the consulate since she hadn't reviewed his file before the interview.

She then told him that everything looks good and she will go ahead and find his medical then the consulate will call him to come pick up his passport and visa (They kept his passport). He then asked her what should I tell my wife if she asked me how did it go? the CO then smiled and said " Tell her it went fine and there is no issue".

I just checked the case status on Ceac it says AP now.

  7. I know how you feel, waiting for each little step is excruciating! But I still think I prefer that NVC process to the USCIS one... it at least *feels* like you have a bit of control over it =)

That being said, you absolutely should feel good about that CC! All the silly documentation gathering and form filling (besides the medical-related stuff) is now DONE! It's just a matter of time now! Hope you see some movement soon =)

That's very True! USCIS is definitely out of your control, like you just send the docs and it's a waiting game. USCIS was the longest for me, so I'm glad things are moving along, although my curiosity and impatience are killing me :clock:

  8. Most embassies seem to schedule interviews at the end/beginning of the month. They may have already filled up all available slots by the time you got your CC, or they may not be finished yet. There are not very many entries in the Case Complete to Interview Spreadsheet for Ivory Coast, but from the VERY limited data set, I can see the average CC to when they pick an interview date is about 3 weeks. One of those was also scheduled around mid-month so they may not follow the conventional scheduling process of other embassies.

In any event, keep checking with NVC if you're a person that has to know immediately (like me ;)) or just give it some time and try to keep busy =)

    Hi Gryphon,

I'm definitely like you ;-) I'll give it another week and just wait.

it's the wait that's killing me lol. I guess it's almost over and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

    Thanks for helping so much!

    good luck!
