    Leave it blank.

Hi quick question, I am planning to add the below note to inform USCIS that my stay in India is temporary, in "Part 9 . Additional notes" since I am listing out my (10 month long ) India stay in the address history. Does the note look ok? Anything to add / remove? Thanks!

"I (the petitioner), a citizen of the United States, am currently temporarily living in India with my wife (the beneficiary), our daughter, and my wife’s two children (my step-children). I am in India on a multiple entry tourist visa.My principal residence through my visit to India remains my US permanent address which is abc street,123 city, USA."

  2. Hi Just wanted to run this by you folks at visajourney.. I am a US citizen sponsoring my wife and stepkids via the I 130, currently in India living with my wife temporarily, and my US address remains my permanent address. I just wanted to add a note to let USCIS know that my India stay is temporary. How does this look for a note to add in the cover letter / additional notes section on the I-130? Any suggestions or issues?

Kindly note that I (the petitioner) am currently temporarily living in India with my wife (the beneficiary), our child, and my wife’s  children (my step-children). I am in India on a multiple entry tourist visa. My principal address through my visit to India remains my US permanent address which is abc street,123 city, USA.  I request you to kindly use my US address as my mailing address.

Unemployed Child would be the best answer.  The question is applicable.  The answer is unemployed.  The instructions are clear on this.

Another question -- my wife's address has a street number does not have an apartment number.. in the I-130 A form , can I safely leave the Apt/Ste/Flr field blank, or would it be better to hand write "NONE" there (as the form does not allow us to enter characters)

Hi, Filling out the I-130 for my step child who is 6 years old. When it comes to question 51 "Beneficiary's employment information", would it be better to put N/A ("Not Applicable") as the beneficiary is a child and employment information does not apply to him, or would "UNEMPLOYED" still be the correct answer for this?

    That's a non-issue.

Hi Just wanted to run this by you.. would N/A be a more appropriate response than "Unemployed" to question no 51 "Beneficiary's employment information" given that the beneficiary is a minor 6 year old child?

Couple of questions -- hope someone can answer!

    1. How best to indicate to the adjudicator to see part 9. additional information ? Would it be better to say

    "SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION",

or "SEE PART 9. ADDITIONAL INFO."  (the word Information doesn't fit, so I will have to abbreviate)

, or "SEE PART 9 PAGE 12" (I have multiple additional information pages so I hope this won't be confusing since they are all page 12)

    or something else?

    2. My street name is not fitting the "Street name and number" field. Would it be best to move the entire address to additional information, or put the apartment no, province, city, country , postal code on the main form and put "see additional information" in the street number and name field and put just that in the additional information page?

    Anyone ?

    No problem

Another question -- do you foresee any problem from USCIS if I put my current India address in "provide the last address where you physically lived together"? I understand that I am on a visitor visa to India, but I Have  lived in India with my wife in the same house for over seven months already, and will continue to do so for the next few months..

I-130 Evidence of bona fide marriage

Hi, Just about to submit the I-130 application for my wife - I have the following pieces of evidence for a bona fide marriage:

    1) Marriage certificate of me and my spouse

    2) Birth certificate and consular report of birth of our child

    3) My passport showing stamps where I traveled to India, some print outs of flight etickets where I and my wife took trips together in India.

    4) 20-30 photos showing various stages of our relationship from meeting before marriage to having our baby and beyond.

Do I need anything else at this stage?

    Any one know this?

Also, I have a separate question -- I am on a tourist visa in India since Jan of this year, and was in India for 6 months last year as well living with my wife on both occasions. Do I need to list my India address / stays in list of Physical Addresses for the last 5 years? I don't have a problem doing it, and listing my US address as mailing address, but I just want to know if it would be the right thing to do given that I am really visiting India even though my visits are so long....

  10. Filling out the I-130 A employment history of last 5 years for my wife (the beneficiary). The last entry in this would be unemployed (between 2011 and 2013), but my wife doesn't remember the exact start date (she remembers the end date). She remembers it as Nov 2011, but not the day. OK to put MM/YYYY, or can we put an approximate day? Do we need to add any explanation? She remembers all the other employment period dates accurately.

***Similar topics merged; please ask all questions you have about the I-130 in this thread instead of starting a new thread for each question you have about completing that form.***

Nobody ever answers questions if they are not a new topic though.. I can keep asking on this thread all I like and never get a response. Something I am doing wrong?
