Taylor93 got a reaction from Anitafeliz in NOA-2 129f sent to consulate?
Have you talked to a tier 2 at USCIS? If you get a helpful one they can let you know if it was mailed yet. You can also email them at csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

All cases go to NVC after NOA2. My NOA2 said it was sent to the consulate directly. Regardless of what NOA2 says, an approved petition will be sent to NVC, get assigned a case number, then depart for the consulate. Also from the looks of it, it takes USCIS about a month to send approved petitions. Call on Fridays as it seems they are sent on Fridays (takes about a week to get mailed).

Whatever that tier 2 is saying is full of it. Mine wasn't sent out to the NVC till July 1st, which is 2 1/2 weeks. None of the blame is on the NVC. It all lies with USCIS. USCIS may try to say that they haven't input it into the system yet, but if that is the case they can still tell you they received it. When they put it into the system is when you get your case number. I hear a ton of different stories from people about what USCIS says about sending petitions. I think that they don't have any set ways. They send it whenever they get to it.

Got an email last night confirming the expedite was approved!
For those wondering, I expedited on severe financial loss. I am currently stationed overseas and living with my fiancée. I am her financial supporter and stated when I go back to the states in September I would have to pay double bills (for the both of us) in 2 different countries. I sent copies of my current bills in Italy, my pay stub, my orders proving that I will actually be moving back to America, and a letter stating the financial hardship this will cause.
After reading about everyone else's expedite requests, and how most get declined especially for financial loss, I didn't have much hope. Figured it wouldn't hurt anything to try though, and I am so happy I did.
