VISA APPROVED!!!

Question! For his medical they had him tested for simple things, blood, urine, x-rays, eye sight, etc. At the end he went into a psychologist office and was asked about drug use, since he put on the paper the had used before. He stated that he had only smoked three time his whole life and that his last time was 2 years. Maybe I'm over thinking or worrying too much, but I just want be be ready for the outcome. Thanks!
-
Yes, he already had his Medical Exam & answered every question truthfully. He wasn't asked to go back for anything extra, just to go pick up his results and that's it. During the interview would he be asked the same questions that were asked during his medical exam?
-
So on the day of his interview in the embassy, would they deny him the visa? Is there a possibility?

Hi, my fiancé lives in Puebla, Mexico. His interview is on the 25th of this month, can he get his medical done in Mexico City D.F or he has to get it in Ciudad Juarez? Thanks in advance!
-
So yesterday my case was approved on USCIS, I'll just have to wait for the process to run along until the day of the interview. Preparing everything and taking papers to proof a religious ceremony isn't valid in Mexico.

Thank you all for the feed back! This site is amazing, hope everything goes well & I'll let you guys know how this turns out.

Thanks for the information! & I will def.let you guys know about this situation, hope everything goes well! ??

So first I'll need to make sure the k1 process is canceled and out of the system before applying for a cr1? I wouldn't like for my fiancé to get banned for 10 years because of a little mistake.
-
But I've heard that the cr1 takes longer than the k3, so that's why a lot of people prefer to take out the k3. I don't know if this is correct ..
-
So if the k1 is denied, how long do I have to wait or what do I need to obtain before I start with a k3 or cr1? Of course I will have to go to Mexico & get legally married .. but can I just start a new process? I heard one situation where the k1 was denied and they got legally married and started a k3, but the fiancé was banned from the U.S for 10 years. I don't want the same situation to happen to us.

Thank you all, I will look into it .. I hope everything goes well, this waiting time and process is really crazy sometimes. Let's hope for the best ..

I've searched if there has been any denials in Mexico based on a religious ceremony but I haven't found anything. I'm hoping for the best, I'm waiting for he NOA2 since I got RFE. But I'll keep searching and see if anything come up.
-
Ok, so we might still have a chance. I was thinking maybe he should get some prove from church stating that religious ceremonies are not a legal marriage for the day of the interview. Also for him to go and get prove that we're not married, that we're both legally single. Would that be a good idea?

I've researched on the internet if this has happened in Mexico, but I'll call and investigate some more. My fiancé will also go and investigate there, since he's in Mexico & I'm in the U.S .. let's see what we gather. It's such a pain in the butt to be going through this, I was so confident that I wasn't going to go through all this if I paid a lawyer. Thank you for your responses!
-
But I guess I should of gotten denied instead of receiving a RFE from USCIS? I don't know what to think anymore ..

I'm a k-1 filer!
So me and my fiancé had a religious ceremony in Mexico, both our families are very religious and we decided to have this ceremony. I know that in Mexico a religious wedding/ceremony isn't legal, it is not recognized as a legal marriage, we had it last year. I went to a lawyer to file for the k-1 visa, he authorized for me to send in pictures of the ceremony and a paper stating it was a religious ceremony to USCIS. We have a 5 month old baby who was borned in the U.S and we are currently waiting for our NOA2. I received a RFE, it was to send in two passport size pictures... one of me and one of my fiance's. My question is, can we get denied? I have read some conversations of how many people have gotten a denial because of religious ceremonies.
-
I did send the passport size pictures, but my fiance's passport picture was smaller so that's why I got a RFE for that. I went to a lawyer to do the k-1 visa process, so I don't have a tracking number. He send everything, the pictures with the paper that said to send back. I'm worried because the due date is June 30th, so I don't know what to do or who to contact. I've called the USCIS and all they have tell me is to wait 60 days.
-
I've been checking everyday and nothing, what worries me the most is the fact that on the USCIS page, they haven't updated staying if they've received the pictures. So I don't know if they sometimes do that

I received a RFE on April 7th, it was to sen two passport size pictures .. one of me and the other of my fiance. I send everything back on May 5th and I haven't gotten anything yet. Not even a request stating they have received my pictures, is this normal? Do they sometimes don't let you know if they received the RFE you've send? Has anyone experienced this? I'm a bit nervous, it's been almost two months since the RFE. Thanks!

He didn't ask my fiancé anything, he didn't pay mind to the ceremony. He was only asked a couple of simple questions about us and that was it, very smooth and easy.
