  1. Question! For his medical they had him tested for simple things, blood, urine, x-rays, eye sight, etc. At the end he went into a psychologist office and was asked about drug use, since he put on the paper the had used before. He stated that he had only smoked three time his whole life and that his last time was 2 years. Maybe I'm over thinking or worrying too much, but I just want be be ready for the outcome. Thanks!

  2. So if the k1 is denied, how long do I have to wait or what do I need to obtain before I start with a k3 or cr1? Of course I will have to go to Mexico & get legally married .. but can I just start a new process? I heard one situation where the k1 was denied and they got legally married and started a k3, but the fiancé was banned from the U.S for 10 years. I don't want the same situation to happen to us.

  3. Ok, so we might still have a chance. I was thinking maybe he should get some prove from church stating that religious ceremonies are not a legal marriage for the day of the interview. Also for him to go and get prove that we're not married, that we're both legally single. Would that be a good idea?

  4. I've researched on the internet if this has happened in Mexico, but I'll call and investigate some more. My fiancé will also go and investigate there, since he's in Mexico & I'm in the U.S .. let's see what we gather. It's such a pain in the butt to be going through this, I was so confident that I wasn't going to go through all this if I paid a lawyer. Thank you for your responses!

  5. I'm a k-1 filer!

So me and my fiancé had a religious ceremony in Mexico, both our families are very religious and we decided to have this ceremony. I know that in Mexico a religious wedding/ceremony isn't legal, it is not recognized as a legal marriage, we had it last year. I went to a lawyer to file for the k-1 visa, he authorized for me to send in pictures of the ceremony and a paper stating it was a religious ceremony to USCIS. We have a 5 month old baby who was borned in the U.S and we are currently waiting for our NOA2. I received a RFE, it was to send in two passport size pictures... one of me and one of my fiance's. My question is, can we get denied? I have read some conversations of how many people have gotten a denial because of religious ceremonies.

  6. I did send the passport size pictures, but my fiance's passport picture was smaller so that's why I got a RFE for that. I went to a lawyer to do the k-1 visa process, so I don't have a tracking number. He send everything, the pictures with the paper that said to send back. I'm worried because the due date is June 30th, so I don't know what to do or who to contact. I've called the USCIS and all they have tell me is to wait 60 days.

  7. I received a RFE on April 7th, it was to sen two passport size pictures .. one of me and the other of my fiance. I send everything back on May 5th and I haven't gotten anything yet. Not even a request stating they have received my pictures, is this normal? Do they sometimes don't let you know if they received the RFE you've send? Has anyone experienced this? I'm a bit nervous, it's been almost two months since the RFE. Thanks!
