Houston is a great POE friendly huge busy. My husbands was pretty effortless but long wait because system was down so almost 4 hours after landing he came out those magical doors.

A few questions asked, brown envelope handed over. DONE!!

We have been out of LAX and SFO several times. I think DWheels' hubby came through Houston. While LAX might be the heaviest travelled, I think they have probably seen more immigrant traffic.

Be sure to read the reviews of the POEs, and I'm sure people here will chime in!

just checked the site it says administrative processing ???

Wait for awhile then it will be change to Issued. You can relax and celebrate now. Btw, Congrtulations!

thanks all my ceac still says ready

In my case after one day it changed to Adminstrative Processing and after 2 hours it was then Issued. The following day i was able to pick up my passport with visa.

Thank you! But where can I find "At NVC"? For me it just shows AOS and IV payments N/A or paid? Is there somewhere else I should be looking or maybe it hasn't changed yet?

Once the status in ceac changed from At NVC to In-Transit. Once the embassy received it, it will change to Ready.

So I haven't received the NVC welcome letter or the DS-260 confirmation yet. But when I do I will make sure to use both for the appeal.

You can simply write for immigration purpose (type of visa) under the appeal.

Same sex relationships are illegal in my fiancé's country so he has to keep our relationship a secret there. I have been concerned about how they adjust for cultural considerations in their lines of questioning, like asking if his family would be at the wedding, etc. Hopefully, the CO would know this is possible, but some of the interviews I've read about don't necessarily operate in the boundaries of common sense.

Which country is your fiance?

I got mine around May this year. They accepted the ds-260 confirmation page that shows your name and case number.

I just don't know about now -- maybe you can give them a call or give time to visit them to personally inquire.

You can go to the SPF at Catonement in Outram. Fill up application form and appeal. I think you need to bring photos as well. You can use the DS-260 confirmation page for proof that it is needed for US immigration.

My fiance just did his interview in Manila a couple weeks ago. He said the filipina consulate was brusk but polite, and the US consulate was very friendly. He was approved and has his visa in hand. The medical exam and CFO seminar were much more of a pain.
