From my post office experience, I would say it's most likely them. I've had lost papers/ mail more than once but anyhow, Uscis should still be able to send you a new RFIE.

Use this link to find your local congressman. They should have their own website and from there, you can fill and print out a form that you need to send them ( it should tell you which office to send it to). I recommend calling their office and ask if they accept walk ins ( one again , my mail never made it to them and I live 15 blocks away).
Will give the post office a try this week, thanks for the suggestion! It's nice to have another couple things to feel like we can actually 'do', since so much of this process is sitting and waiting.

I would try contacting your congressman or senator . My case was collecting dust until I contacted mine ( I also had a service request pending so who knows). I got a response the next day. Definitely worth a try. Since you've also already submitted an e-request, not sure what else to do ??! Is your e-request still active ( within the delay given by Uscis )???
ps : Have you tried contacting your post office ?
The original e-request has not been touched according to MyUSCIS, and the original date to expect a response on that was February 28th, but we've spoken to them on the phone and they're telling us different dates. I'd considered the post office, but haven't contacted them yet. Did you contact a congressman from your state congress, or national?

Can't believe it, but we are STILL waiting on our RFIE that was supposedly sent January 10th!! After submitting an e-request over a month ago, and speaking with the Customer Service line multiple times in the last month, still nothing has come in the mail and no one in Customer Service seems to be really bothered that we haven't received their request. I've seen some people on here who've contacted their senators? Anyone contacted the USCIS Ombudsman/Case Assistance? Feel like there is literally nothing else we can do at the moment, since when we call they've told us...well a couple things actually--sometimes that we can call again in 15 days to check progress, then we call at 15 days and they ask why we haven't waited for 30... It has been 65 days since they say the RFIE was sent out, and they have the correct address since we received our biometrics appointment letter and the I-797s.
Going slightly crazy here in AR

Ugh, so frustrated! Filed in early December, received receipts and biometrics appointment in early January, then typed in our case number online and saw they apparently sent an RFIE on January 10th...still never received it! Filed an online request to have it re-sent a week and a half ago, still nothing! Anyone else had this problem? I know RFIE's are time-sensitive, so starting to get worried.

Hello! I've got a question about evidence for the i-134 for a K1 interview. Because I've been living abroad for 6 years and will be moving home unemployed, my mom has agreed to be our co-sponsor. Can anyone who has been through the interview suggest how many 'pieces' of evidence from her would be sufficient? She has a copy of her most recent tax return, and will also be providing 6 months of pay stubs...would that be enough? Thanks in advance!

Hello all! I've been following this thread for a while, but we only just got our NOA2 a week and a half ago. We're preparing materials for the next step, and I've got a question about translated documents. My fiancé and I met (and still live in) China, so his police certificate may be issued in Chinese...we're having push-back about getting it issued at the moment so we don't know what it will look like.
I was wondering how particular embassies are about who has translated the documents, specifically London since that's where our interview will be. My best friend here in China is bilingual, and does PR for a Chinese/British charity, so would it be okay if she translated our docs? I've seen the form for translations on this site, I'm curious if they'd also want a red stamp of some kind...

Haven't updated my timeline yet, but just wanted to quickly say that our case has seen some progress this month! On April 1st, we finally received the RFIE that we'd been waiting for since Jan. 10th (sent, finally, in response to an online SR regarding the EAD actually). It was a relief to get that piece of paper, and frustrating at the same time that the 3 things they were asking for were items we knew we sent originally...but we were able to move forward! Sent necessary docs on April 3rd, officially received by the office on April 6th, and today we got news that my husband's EAD card is being produced!
Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and well wishes, as with 90% of things USCIS-involved patience seems to be the biggest thing. Slowly getting toward the finish line. Here's hoping everyone else's cases are moving along well!
